I have seen varied answers but i can tell that whenever i see SkRossi ping on Henri or Tyler stream is always in 45-55 . There are a lot of posts from pros as well where it shows its 50 ping from Mumbai. At end it's all probably depends on how good your internet

After midnight ,traffic is low and you may get good ping and low packet loss.

bro the more you go towards south the lower ping you will get i myself being based of Delhi get above 70 ping on SG and people from chennai and bangalore might get as low as 40 ping because of the geography and routing so its that simple

Imagine that you live in a huge country.
You can get playable ping (70ms) from Mumbai.
You can also get 40ms from Chennai.
But Chennai is like a foreign country to most North Indians. I lived in Chennai for 2 years and basically it was equally difficult to live there as if I were to shift to Japan. The food is different, culture is different, language is different. Moreover its remote and cumbersome to get around when you live in Chennai.
Mumbai is by far a better location.
