today’s predictions

XSET 2-0 Optic (2-1 if bind is played)

this years champs has showed how long standing curses have been broken (optic loses their first game, optic never beating an EMEA team, NA team 0-2 in playoffs, etc) and i believe the 5th-6th place DRX curse will be broken too.

i believe optic is expected to win, but XSET has been looking incredibly good recently. it seems like their LAN jitters are much better (2-0’d crowd favorite fnatic) and their spontaneous team play seems a lot more organized and cohesive compared to optic’s calculated approach to site hits and retakes spearheaded by FNS. both approaches are solid, but i believe XSET edges them out slightly. bcj, cryo, and zekken all have the capacity to solo carry, while dephh and aryin provide really good supporting utility.

edit: i just realized bind is XSET’s permaban map, i predict a 2-0

Feeling like cheering for the underdog so I'll go LOUD 2-1 DRX in this one, as for OPTIC vs XSET i believe XSET wins 2-0 (or 2-1)
