To be fair, if The Guard was to play Optic tomorrow they would get slapped silly

if we compare stage 1 and 2
C9 fell off (maybe because of Xeta to T1)
v1 did not even qualify (who were 5-0 in same group with SEN,optic)
ItsMeDio [#13]meta changing (chamber meta) fucked them in stage 2
they didn't prepare well for chamber metabut, now u can see their preparation & improvement
yeah they did not adapt well to the new meta, it just looked bad to be easily the second best na team and a month later not even top 6-7

Not a fluke, they just didn't adapt fast enough to the meta changes for stage 2 which led them losing the first two games. Then they lost very closely (I mean literally a 2 round difference) to NRG and XSET who were in the lower finals of NA (XSET won the whole thing). So far in LCQ they've looked a lot more figured out, but have had some issues with overpeaking and throwing some rounds. If they polish that out, they are definitely a contender to win.
