OW franchising vs Valorant franchising

If I remember correctly, when Overwatch franchised, the game started to die. Will that happen to Valorant?

i was not in that era so idk but valorant is alive and will not die and overwatch never had more then 400k watching and valo has 1mill watching so that just says some shit about valo and OW

OW just made a ton of trash decisions. The meta was awful for multiple years, the whole city thing made no sense. They sold out for youtube which people dont want. They banned people for using twitch emotes from their PRO league. Blizzard just ran OWL horribly. LCS is trash because of the quality of gameplay but franchising in league works well, i dont see why VAL wouldnt be the same.

its a shame because overwatch league had alot of cool ideas, with city events etc. but covid fucked it. along with the fact blizzard couldnt balance the game for shit. and the addition of "anti fun" heroes

main difference is Riot have already succeeded in franchising by building LoL esports, which is incredibly successful, while Blizzard are incompetent buffoons

Yep league is franchised and it's not dead. Blizzard might be one of the worse triple A company if not the worse at managing their games and esports.
