VLR QUESTIION:

"Marved #1 Controller, MaKo #2... but big gap, who comes #3?"

Melser comes to answer that question. Finally showing how good he can fucking be. Leviatan is playing fucking awful valorant today, and they won solely off his clutches. If the team picks up form, with Melser like this, the team could make a deep run.

thats marved's line, it doesnt belong to a one-match-warrior, actually just a couple rounds. if lev manages to win the whole tourney and melser does good, he will replace marved.

Here, let me try to help you clear your biased(doesn't mean bad btw) mind... speaking simply in terms of stats, here are your top smokers in ACS quant rank, starting at the top:

Marved
Boaster
Mako
mindfreak
sScary
pancada
koldamenta
Melser

One or two of the players above have fairly small sample sizes, but considering the range they now fall under in relation to other smokers, I don't think they will change significantly.

Nah, I prefer to draw my conclusions from watching the actual games, thanks though.

Wow, you make it seem like you're the only person here that watch Valorant pro-games live. Like congrats on your delusions, I suppose....
Here's what I really meant, kid: When you just rely on qualitative evidence from games that provide you with a tonne of quantitative evidence/data, you massively lose objectivity when considering the broader picture. Something that looks good for you, doesn't nessecary can be considered good to others, let alone good or priorotised to teams or structure plays.
Being subjective is completely OK, but not when attempting to analyse shit like you're trying to analise here.

In brief, ranking players in games will always involve statistics, whether you want it or not.

Stats are directly affected by many variants outside the players' control, even going as basic as the team you're playing in, yes, stats are a measure, but you're the only deluded person here if you believe strictly in them. Just for example, look at your stupid ass ranking, in what world is sScary a better controller than Koldamenta? Easy: only in the "stats" world lol.

Dude if you don't agree with me then just gtfo - no need to get on my nerves here, pulling some weird proofs out of who knows where...

I simply tried to point out where you were wrong in your conclusions on such an such player's superiority compared to other similar players i.e. in smoker or duelist group etc.. but in return you just were being a little dick about it... I even pointed out that being BIASED is totally fine because normally we are all people and we are all biased by nature regarding some topics, however only those daumm precise numbers are going to be able to assist us avoid sliding into various states of biaseness. Yet in your reply you're still trying to convince me that in a world of probability heavy set of events which are conventianally called game/s, you can derive something meaningful by just observing the match or the player and be objectively correct? Well partially, you are correct and that's why I told you that, on here, everyone and their dog watch official live streams as well as some of us, then even have to go and watch those VODS again and again, if needed +analysing different timmings and such within those games... there's really no end to ways of analysing the data, be it visual or written-numeric - whatever. The double type approach of watching and analysing the game will also help to derive a correct conclusion on the situation, teams or the players in question, but not solely on its own without the stats.

Let me tell you again, numbers do play an utterly important role in analysing any probability heavy set of events that kids normally call games... stats especially are important when trying to rank a group of players from a similar or not group. However, as of yet you may not fully understand the meaning of word probability or how you suppose to work with differently dervied data etc but if you keep studying in school or at home, one day you may understand what I meant ;)
