I think shopify won't take a spot in valorant partnership next year but who knows. Happy for ex-lg roster anyway

Riot didn't think this through and there won't be enough franchising spots. Last I heard there were 8 spots open for NA.
Optic, FaZe, TSM, 100T, Cloud9 should realistically be locks.

That leaves three spots for good rosters (or good orgs) like
NYFU, Knights, The Guard, EG, NRG, V1, Sentinels, Ghost, T1, or Gen.G. Plus the rumor that G2 and other EMEA teams want an NA slot if they can't get one in Europe.

Too many teams, not enough spots.

Give Brazil 2 (NiP and somebody else) and LATAM 1! That's the fairest way to divide that up.

And how is competition going to work? Are they going to hold tournaments online? What a ping diff! Or are they going to force all of these orgs to relocate to bootcamps in LA?

No no the regions will have their own vct circuit but riot franchised multiple countries/regions together. Like BR and LATAM with NA for the Americas.

But I can be completely wrong on this as I don't completely understand franchising

TSM and Faze are NOT locks. They didn't like their proposals. They DID like Guard, T1, and EG's proposals

This is why a 12 or 16 team league would work out best for all 3 franchised regions. Too many good teams across upwards of 3+ existing regions not enough spots

If that doesn’t happen and if by some terrible luck the roster isn’t picked up in its entirety, 100t should try to pick up bdog. That might be a nasty ass pickup for them.
