Excuse me but when I hear or read Portuguese I think about Portugal. Brazilians aren't even speaking Portuguese but Brazilian Portuguese.

With around 210 million inhabitants and the largest population among the member countries of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), Brazil is today, by far, the nation with the largest number of Portuguese speakers.

Idk about anything else but its true everyone thinks about portugal when they hear Portuguese, not because brazil is irrelevant or anything but simply because of the name.
