If the league will be create for 10 teams just like George Geddes sayd, who will be the 10 teams in the tournament? And the distribution of spot? 5 NA, 3 BR 2 LATAM?
NA:???
BR: FURIA, LOUD, NIP?
LATAM: KRU, ??
for the Riot side is better for them having a big org like FURIA in their franchise league than having Keyd (I'm not talking about the rosters, because it's kinda "irrelevant", FURIA is a bigger org so is better for riots brand, and can pay better, and that's literally what matters on a franchise league)

Exactly

Also i think its going to be something like:
NA: Cloud9, 100 Thieves, FaZe Clan, OpTic, NRG, Sentinels (maybe TSM but all the Reginald issue and everything going on the company i'd doubt it)
BR: FURIA, LOUD, NiP
LatAm: KRÜ, Fusion (i'd think its gonna be one from LatAm South and one from North)
Trykan [#6]Idk enough about BR/LATAM to make an opinion.
I feel like the for the teams for NA would be: Optic, C9, 100T
Potentials for the final 2 spots would be between: XSET, TSM, SEN, FAZE, T1 and Guard.
Just due to their brand name/size of their team
If TSM and Sen are not franchised their fans will literally Riot
burritx [#3]Why furia? VK should be there
FURIA is a rich org with probably the best structure here in Brazil and they are in LoL franchising system already. FURIA will start investing more in Val when it join the franchising i think.
Also, I hope the teams that join the franchise league start investing in their teams more, cause since Astralis joined LEC on LOL it seems like they just don't give a fuck, disappointing results and disappointing rosters. I'm sure FaZe will pay big bucks to be on this Americas League, but if they keep this ass roster or don't invest in it, and teams like The Guard/Luminosity miss out, it would be pretty upsetting.
Thiag0_ [#16]BR probably will be something like this but...10 teams is too little, ffs riot, if you're mixing the Americas put 16 teams at least. Or just do like in LoL, let each America have their own franchising with 10 teams
I guess no money for 16 teams. They only can afford 10 teams. rito ruins valorant competitive scene.

I don't think Riot lacks money tbh it is literally owned by Tencent. Maybe in the near future we'll have more slots but the first impression is that this is fucked up. Valorant turning into Overwatch is what it seems.

mens dont expect anything from tencent, they will never invest, I'm just sad for BR scene coz it was growing after Loud got final and now rito destroys whole regional scene.
For instance if 10 teams. 3 Brazilian. It will be on LAN in LA, 100%. Brazil orgs will just sign NA players in long term I'm pretty sure. While Brazilian tier2 scene will not be watched at all and will be dead for couple of month/years.

You have a good point, lol this system needs to be boycotted asap. Regional franchising leagues would be much better than this shit

V1?

I'm deleting this game and switch to cs:go if rito will do this format. 2 years of playing and watching to this cringiest format LUL
NA will be dead as well, there are literally around ~15-20 pro orgs and moreover at least 10 of them are huge af like Faze, EG, Complexity etc.

Riot can easily kick a team out of they aren’t invested.

idk about Faze TBH I would replace them with TSM, EG, or T1(They own NSG so they will prob get a spot)
williamm [#5]so dumb, should double the amount of teams. how are you going to pick 5 orgs when you have c9 optic 100t tsm sen all competing in addition to 10 others
exactly, gonna kill the scene completely especially given how few tier 2 tournaments we currently have and the fact that the league will pull almost all of the viewership
NewEulogy [#32]idk about Faze TBH I would replace them with TSM, EG, or T1(They own NSG so they will prob get a spot)
Yeah, i was thinking of it and I don't know about TSM because of Reginald being under investigation and his problem with Riot, and T1 i really think it makes sense for them to go full Korean on the Asian superleague (i know that the CEO said on the Q&A that they are keeping steel and will maintain their operations on NA) but I really don't see why they wouldn't just move to Korea. And about EG, I agree with you, makes sense for them to be apart of it, since they are also on LCS and their recent success on MSI, the reason I went with FaZe Clan is they have a shit ton of money, and buying this spot would be a piece of cake for them, especially after winning the CS:GO major, i think they now will be turning their attention to Valorant, the only FPS they haven't had any success so far.

I see Infinity as a North Latam org with better conditions and that is already close to Riot
