The Spanish organization, Giants Gaming, have announced that Fabian "Quick" Pereira is being benched, effective now. His replacement is to be Tobias "ShadoW" Flodstrom.
Giants, despite a promising mix of players including world champion Vlad "Kiles" Shvets, have not seen much success in the Spanish VRL. In stage 1, they ended the normal season with a flawless run of 7 - 0, but lost 0 - 3 to Case eSports in the VRL playoffs. In the VRL stage 2, Giants traded Ondrej "MONSTEERR" Petru to Acend for "Kiles".
Despite Giants being solid as a team, Quick's individual performance has been subpar as of late. Last game, the controller managed only 5 kills in 28 rounds. In the past 60 days, Quick as held an average ACS of 151.3 and 0.67 KD across all agents. Quick is searching for a new team to represent.
His replacement comes in the form of Tobias "ShadoW" Flodstrom, who is someone who has played at the very top of European Valorant. In FPX, he and his team qualified for every single EMEA playoffs across 2021, being favorites in Stage 1 and 2. Despite this, an international appearance remained elusive. ShadoW was picked up by Team Vitality after trialing with them in the VOT: France. ShadoW, after parting ways with FPX, played for Vitality from Nov 2021 - APR 2022, before being benched by the org. Across the past 60 days, he has 187.3 average ACS and a 1.05 KD, primarily piloting Sova and Breach. It is likely some role changes will occur on Giants to accommodate his entry into the team. Giants are 4th in the VRL:Spain as of now, with a 5 - 2 record.
Giants are now:
Vlad "Kiles" Shvets
Tobias "ShadoW" Flodström
Adolfo "Fit1nho" Gallego
Batuhan "russ" Malgaç
