well well well..
Nah I think a lot of duelist players will struggle to fit into the role that g2 lays out for them, it's very set: "you must take this specific route, throw this specific util, and do this for us etc." The duelist isn't free and must play entirely around and for the team while some other teams do it the other way around
I been supporting them since guard qualified to their first NA challenger, where they took first seed to Iceland. What a journey it's been
They seem to struggle against the Cypher meta alot, they lose rounds just to cypher trips alone a lot of the time
smoggy duelist, kangkang flex was not it hell no. But edg can play double duelist more for sure
I wouldn't say sword9 had that much of an effect. The style EDG played was the same from 2023 lock:in all the way to tokyo. But you can see After gradually wanting them to change more into a fnatic style team
Yeah I watched a lot of the CN games, I expected FPX to do a lot better
There's something in the air.. G2 come on
Why you getting downvoted, this would be a banger match
if you've watched the first map it's actually embarrassing that you can have a take like that
we've already seen kangkang own cned
boring? I think G2 is one of the more fun teams to watch
FPX is not to be underestimated, really good performance from them and improvement is clear
Did you even watch the match to be saying that? If you think they had a rematch can you confidently say there's no way FPX can win... seriously dude think
Well you see that they can win now, people are underestimating them
absolutely not true, discipline isn't the issue here. You could say that for a lot of other chinese teams but if you actually analyse how FPX play they do pretty smart set plays and don't over agress when they don't need to
People were arguing that china didn't even deserve to get a 1 spot invitation to last years LANs because EDG lost their first 3 international games, then look at what they did in Tokyo and Champs. These teams from China are obviously going to need time to improve, they aren't just gonna be insane right from the start. It's called an investment, if you've actually been watching the chinese scene you wouldnt be saying this because of how fast random teams are improving, the speed is crazy
Bro the firewall just focuses on banning major foreign internet tools like facebook google etc. as well as anything including porn/violence/certain terms. Vlr is accessible like many other foreign sites but it's just pretty hard to find cause most people in China use baidu search engine. Even the english wikipedia page for tiannamen protests is accesible in China 💀
Lysoar is usually one of their best players, him being the weakest link is very heavy recency bias. If not it's him not being used to playing on internationals but he'll adapt soon
When will people realise that the way some teams play make other teams look like they're throwing
NRG lost to judges on 1 map bro, the other 3 they just got diffed. Even on ascent
Don't you think FPX would counter the G2 style which plays very standard valorant
LMAOO nrg catching yet another stray
Been an OG guard fan since 2+ years ago, what a ride it's been. So happy for them
Valyn has been underrated for so long it's incredible how good he is
I understand the copying strats thing it did actually help develop them as a team but they're like fnatic now in the sense that they just stuck to this for way too long idk how the coach hasn't realised it's time to go back to more of the cn style, they're trying to beat other teams at what they're already good at
Fr and jawg is as flexible as icy if not more it's exactly what they needed
EDG coach thinks copying the strats from teams like FNATIC will get them playing "proper" valorant but in reality this doesn't play to China's unique strength of thriving in chaotic and aggressive moments - sure they can copy but they'll never exceed. I disagree that it's all for nothing though, EDG struggled a lot with closing maps out and keeping their lead before they started copying strats - they used to be the ultimate chokers. By playing more standard they've fixed a lot of their weaknesses especially when kk's rifling wasn't as good and he had to rely on the OP too much. Now he can do both extremely well. The next step for EDG is to go halfway back to that style now that they have so much experience: be more aggressive, use the attack OP - this is what actually made China scary for teams to face
I think FPX will do a lot better than EDG at shanghai because they've embodied a lot of the CN unpredictable style while having fixed a lot of their fundamental mistakes at Madrid which cost them a win against KC & LOUD (It was way closer than people think)
I guess so
Trace make me proud
The last time EDG went against 100T it was a gigabanger series all OTs
downvoted for the truth
"if anything NA is as strong as ever" nahh stop coping bro
pl1xx not been doing well on any role lmao why you making him seem like a victim or smth
that's true but also took them quite a while to adjust
