Liquid: depressed and constantly choke on water

posted 5 days ago

We as in a team. Being a fan is part of the team liquid family. I support them, despite living in the U.S

posted 6 days ago

No updates on possible roster changes or new roles as far as I know. Are we really going to keep the same roster after we “made playoffs” despite playing like absolute shit?

What should we do?

posted 1 week ago

am i missing something?

posted 1 week ago

As far as I know, this is only a thing in the U.S. The biggest organization is Generation Esports HSEL. But I really hope this idea spreads more across the world and gains more popularity. It would be fun to see high school players getting rankings and stars that other sports have, and it’s completely free. Lots of young talent there too. A whole lot of ascendants and immortals aswell as a couple radiants. Definitely something worth checking out if yall haven’t heard of it before.

posted 1 week ago

Just one question. Why the fuck would they do that?

posted 1 week ago

I never know if agents are going to be good or not until they are actually played. However this genuinely doesn’t seem that strong

No Sayf, No naTs, no Jingg,

most underrated player itw . jit trippin

posted 2 weeks ago

yeah fs. id put him #1 honestly but im biased. hes nuts man. any agent, any role, any time

posted 2 weeks ago

sayf. as a liquid fan. I miss him. He's talked about, but not as much as he deserves. Hes a top 5 EMEA player imo

posted 2 weeks ago

The stress of finals and exams is a lot to handle. Hope he feels better. Great play with a lot of potential.

I now fully understand why everyone says you need a duo. 2 years of being hardstuck ascendant never reaching immortal. A lot of my friends who have played the game for less time than I have, already have hit immortal, but constantly 2,3 and 5 stack. I've only ever really solo queued. Racism, throwers, toxicity, teammates pulled from the local kindergarten class rooms, etc. We all have seen it. Everyone told me to get a duo, so I started queuing with my friend who was immortal 2. Being Asc 3, he was hesitant, but none the less agreed. Within a WEEK im immortal 2 almost 3. Keep in mind, never hit Immortal prior. So RIOT, my suggestion is, make it more rewarding and less costly to those in solo queue, as this is a miserable experience.

My Tracker for reference

I've never hit immortal. Been hardstuck Ascendant for 2 years always having above a 700 combat score. Explain how I have 3 teamates in my last game, all of which currently immortal and have been immo 3 and radiant that have 300 tracker scores, .8kds, no mics, and instalock. Im playing pretty decent MMR, I match MVP and I lose 17rr. Yet I team mvp win 13-10 and gain 16rr. Please tell me how this rank system makes any sense. I simply don't understand how it can be so easy to get to immortal 3 for my teamates, but when i play with them, they are silver max.

Any tips for how to get out of this hell hole?

I only solo queue and end up filling 75% of the time. Is being this stuck a common fucking thing? I'm pissed

Maybe liquid would have gone to Shanghai if

-Emil gets replaced
-Enzo gets replaced
-We bring back sayf
-nats is consistent
-we didn’t choke on water
-jamppi is consistent

  • we had an IGL that got more than 5 kills in 22 rounds
  • we didn’t suck
Yeah maybe if those little things happened we could have won!
posted 3 weeks ago

Bros still coping that loss 😭

posted 3 weeks ago

If Liquid somehow manage to make it to Shanghai with this team I completely understand why people say EMEA is the worst region

posted 3 weeks ago

We've had incredible talent, and choked at important moments. Seems like a leadership issue to me. Sayf and naTs on the same team

posted 4 weeks ago

Really? I hate icebox but honestly I think ascent is the only map that doesn’t need changes. I really like it

posted 1 month ago

I don’t know what’s going on with the format. Meant to add fracture haven and pearl

posted 1 month ago

-- breeze
— sunset
— split

+Haven
+Pearl
+Fracture

New map needs to be released sooner. It’s been almost a year and this map pool is stale. At one point, I hated fracture more than anything, but right now I’d put it back in just for some change.

Hopefully if liquid loses, this will be what pushes them to get rid of Emil and Enzo

Why am I getting downvotes on an apology post? How bitter is vlr grammar check

posted 1 month ago

Everyone in this chat debating isn't in the same country as me, like I said, using American Grammarly corrects You Are to You're. However, Cleg is right, technically You're is less formal. Where I learned English, I learned to use You're, but there really is no difference. Debating grammar on a valorant website is crazy

posted 1 month ago

different regions. just admit u want an ego boost. Watch Immo EMEA vs Diamond NA on youtube. Immo EMEA won 13-10. against diamond 1 and 2s

posted 1 month ago

Is it crazy to say that whoever won the TL vs Acend game was winning champs 100%?
I know Gambit was crazy good, but they didn't impress me a whole lot at the time during champs despite making it to the final

posted 1 month ago

It's crazy to me to think that more than 60% of this game is silver and gold. Not in a bad way, but just how much it shows the rank system sucks

posted 1 month ago

its actually thanks* ☝️🤓

posted 1 month ago

Read my comment to Cleg, he brought up the most valid point, two different education systems

posted 1 month ago

Actually that could be it, I forget Americans do it differently, my fault

posted 1 month ago

like I said man, debating grammar on a website with a bunch of degenerates is crazy, but professionally, you're is correct

posted 1 month ago

you're is the more formal version of you are and when you use grammarly or anything that corrects spelling, it will correct you are to you're

posted 1 month ago

grammatically speaking it would be you're bronze* actually

posted 1 month ago

Tier 1 only or Tier 2 aswell?

If Tier 2 counts, nitr0 is jacked

posted 1 month ago

best way to put it honestly

posted 1 month ago

???

posted 1 month ago

He's shown talent though. I don't mean to be toxic saying this since your a fnatic fan, but when Liquid played Fnatic in VCT EMEA finals last year, he looked like he was going to rise to the top. He's just inconsistent which is a problem

posted 1 month ago

I see your point, but not the whole world plays VALORANT. Lets remove Iron and Bronze for a second. Even then Ascendant would be "High Elo" as its top 10%. I'm one of those guys that doesn't think rank proves shit, so maybe I'm biased. But I am willing to say that its more of an achievement to solo queue to ascendant then it is to duo or trio to immortal. Your logic does make sense, just a little different then baseball imo

posted 1 month ago

Man imagine if Liquid had kept Sayf, Nats, and Jampii. Maybe you pick up Keiko and a different IGl like Shadow who wasn't playing IGL at the time and that team would actually have a chance. So sad to see one of the best players ITW get stuck with bad teams

you can't read

Yall are weird

🤨

bro liked his own comment

posted 1 month ago

Keep in mind the no brain argument doesn't always work. Lots of tier 2-3 teams have Ascendants as their IGL with bad aim. Look at FNS man, dudes a genius but has really bad aim for a pro. Aim matters more in comp than it does in pro. And I know he's hit radiant, but I think this is a little outrageous

posted 1 month ago

Yeah I can agree with this one more than the rest. I think thats a fair claim.

posted 1 month ago

Just so I don't get the "your bronze comments" Im Currently Ascendant 3.

posted 1 month ago

Feel Free to Express Your Opinions

I've seen way to many people say that "High Elo" doesn't start until immortal 3. Obviously its subjective and what not, but keep in mind, Diamond is still top 10% of the game and Ascendant is like top 2.5% or something like that. If you want to go off of where pros are playing and what not, sure Immo 3 is high elo and the rest is below. But some 80 or 85% of the game has never hit platinum. High elo doesn't just mean the top 20% of the game split from the rest and then ranked. I would say Diamond is where it technically classifies as High Elo. Put Diamonds and Radiants against Irons and it won't really make a difference to the irons, despite the radiants would roll diamonds versus each other. Then, VALORANTs MMR system is so scuffed that there are people in Immortal who play against low to mid diamonds, and there are people in Ascendant that are queueing against High immortals and even Radiants.

Let me know what y'all think, I feel like this debate needs to be settled

Played 3 games tonight and I am currently Ascendant 2.

1st Game
28 Kill 293 combat on reyna 14-12 win
+20 average rank was Ascendant 3 with 2 immortals

2nd Game
22 Kill Loss 255 combat score on Chamber 11-13 loss
-19 average rank was Ascendant 3 1 immortal

3rd game

20 Kill win 243 combat score 13-10 win
+16 average rank Immortal 1 with 1 immortal 2 and 1 immortal 3

Why did I gain less for playing above average with higher ranks ? Then why am I losing so much for playing well and above my rank. Please explain
