Since the franchising era of vct, 5 of the 8 international tournament winners (6 if you count johnqt/sentinels) had a rookie on the team that just came from the tier 2 scene/was a new name nobody heard of
And that doesn't even mention the great rookies that haven't won anything yet
Edit: I do realize now that my title statement is quite obvious, but my goal with this post was to bring attention to the increasing skill level of new valorant players and how teams taking a risk on newcomers instead of signing a potentially washed veteran can be extremely valuable for the team and exciting for the community
