Both teams have had insane improvement

3rd map turned into a scrappy fight real fast

posted about 2 years ago

no just u man
Autimatic before departing T1 looked at their losses on stream and they were losing always against teams that ended up placing highly lmao
and even now I dont think they've had easy brackets, other than the one right after they got DQ'd and they kinda fell apart losing to virtuoso and cosmic divide

posted about 2 years ago

no one knows, I would say the majority think that the best team atm is c9
XSET is definitely in the running for it tho.

posted about 2 years ago

Crazy how people discredit the guard and say xset fell off, the guys from the guard are making less mistakes after every series and valyn seems to be getting more comfy in the IGL role. Individually everyone is hitting for them too

Radiance always pushes teams to at least third map or OT in the maps they lose they are solid af

i wanna see KCP T1 Akrew and Faze pop off next quals

posted about 2 years ago

formerly known as Habib, played a bunch of t2 events, if I remember correctly this is his first shot under a signed roster

posted about 2 years ago

Bro just give them time
Its their first day of competing in a completely new roster
They are all young and have an experienced IGL at the helm, they probably still need to figure out comps fully, iron out their better maps and so many more things.
You also got to see a single map and the stats of another so idk about giving verdicts so early on lmfao

posted about 2 years ago

Team full of players that are hungry for competing and winning, willing to put on the hours to get better at the game, hopefully T1 allows them to have time together cuz I think they can go far :) gl lads

posted about 2 years ago

I agree with the Steel part, its definitely reasonable if they pick him up
but S0m is great at controller agents, just ppl dont see it cuz they are used to watching him play duelist on stream. (To put it in context, Wedid swapped roles to sentinel to keep s0m on smokes)

posted about 2 years ago

yeah idk, berlin qualifiers were also played really late and I think riot only does it to accommodate for higher viewership w some EU viewers etc.

posted about 2 years ago

the tourney is played in da west so ig they are not as late where the players are + they wont play tomorrow since the lower part is played out

posted about 2 years ago

a lot, all good.

posted about 2 years ago

similar to the Gen G comp but with breach over idk what agent they had
brim smokes help deny info in certain areas of the map for a long time (halls is a good example) + viper for site execs
also that means 3 postplant mollys
idk about the breach enough though lmao

posted about 2 years ago

The team seems to have liked him, mada once tweeted he was confident Cooper could be a top player in the future :)

posted about 2 years ago

at the same time if u think of it, no group A team made semis

posted about 2 years ago

makes it more fun :)

posted about 2 years ago

thats weak for an international lan tho, I love kru but they are a weaker team
theres kinda a top 8 (3 NA teams + 4 EMEA teams + VS) that are above the rest imo

posted about 2 years ago

keep in mind we haven't seen xset for over a month tho, this is their first (or second?) big break since adding dephh and zekken

posted about 2 years ago

I think the kayo should work well against gambit's defense since they like to play on site (similar to why it worked against xset), but I didnt watch the match lmao

posted about 2 years ago

Not a hot take, definitely could go either way

posted about 2 years ago

I mean, yes XSET can beat some of the teams in the event maybe, but if they dont qual they are not in the conversation. That's just how it works

posted about 2 years ago

this also explains why nrg is a little higher as they are playing NSG events rn

posted about 2 years ago

its elo based and the more matches u play the easier it is to be ranked higher. XSET was in a bad ranking even if they beat many teams above them in masters 2 (at this point they already made 2 challengers finals unlike many other teams etc.) Their rank became more accurate when they had a clean run to #2 seed in the masters 3 qualifier. (It basically took them beating SEN to get a good rank LMAO)

posted about 2 years ago

I think they can just commit to more defined roles, have one player commit to sova and they can be fine. The thing is every comp they run atm feels like they are sacrificing a player's comfort for the better of the rest of the team.

isn't it OG? correct me if wrong

posted about 2 years ago

im actually surprised icebox was the weakest map for EG since they had some pretty cool strats last time I saw them play it

edit: typo OMEGALUL

AYRIN spoke about their own experience on a backchat a couple weeks ago. There are definitely some benefits, otherwise orgs wouldn't accommodate for it to happen

nice thread, thank you!

I watched a VKS game on bind where they just had saadhak fighting for hookah as brim against a breach and raze for 5 rounds straight. The only thing that still worries me about Brazil as a region is adaptability, I see that they are playing more tactically over time, but I am not sure if teams can adapt when their game plan starts failing. (It felt like only 1 round sacy tried to help saadhak but it wasn't good enough since saadhak still sat inside the breach stun, got tagged and spammed to death.)
Would you say your top 3 teams (HL, SH, Sharks) are doing more in that aspect? Otherwise I will still be worried for them when it comes to international play.

Tenz has much more brand value, has had more time under the spotlight, etc. Not comparable since cNed is much newer to the scene and stuff. I also don't know if any org would be willing to pay that much for a player in such a young scene

posted about 2 years ago

I think you just have to say FPX due to their result in these playoffs :/ Sad to see because they have always looked good until they get close to tourney wins and then just dissipate

posted about 2 years ago

I think SEN is too strong still, only teams that may beat them imo are G2 and Acend

posted about 2 years ago

just time out ppl off the forums since some of them live here lmfao

posted about 2 years ago

Every competitor needs to be confident wtf
how else would they get to the point they are in? Its also not overconfidence since he mentioned literally the spot they landed on, top 4.

posted about 2 years ago

At least the top 4 teams were indeed the 4 top seeds from challengers 1, which shows that these teams can be consistent at the top places of events. Sadly 1 won't make Berlin

Envy has been historically good vs. XSET (XSET only beat them in a seeding game) but I want to call a 2-1 for XSET. I expect XSET to not allow yay to go off the way he did on Haven vs. Faze when they started winning attack rounds off him winning opening duels. GL to both teams

posted about 2 years ago

bruh this is a cool match, and whoever wins goes up against ABX

posted about 2 years ago

I think atm his twitter says something like "content for sentinels" so I dont think he's necessarily benched.

posted about 2 years ago

Also I would say DZ and SQ deserve a spot in here instead of ex-Noble and ez5 maybe? idk

They've had good results over a longer period of time + been more dominant in T2 imo

posted about 2 years ago

not really, C9 literally planted within the first 30 s of a round every time. We didnt really get to see anything from them

posted about 2 years ago

Top 20 looking shaky atm, but I agree with like a top 6 teams being the ones you said
Outside of that I would say you cant rank ones over others that much. (For instance I would say KCP are 100% within the top 20 but I just dont know where)

posted about 2 years ago

facts, but also NRG should still manage beating this team

posted about 2 years ago

true, the only have lost to SQ recently and SQ looked rlly good even against SEN at the start of their series

posted about 2 years ago

I have quite literally never faced a cheater in val yet
I wish I had the same luck in MM lmfao

posted about 2 years ago

Wedid on viper was cool to watch cuz he would pull rounds by himself (for instance in XSET vs TSM when they were punching into T1) and xset's defense on A would pretty much depend on him taking all first contacts (both A main and mid splits) to help ayrin get value out of his KJ utility on site.
I love ur choices tho. Fun fact, Andersin was replaced by Wedid in the original roster that got picked up by XSET a couple weeks after that transfer.
