on god, surely they get to play haven right... right...
man you really wrote this and felt proud of yourself too
they lost icebox once to fnatic, didnt look great at the time but they def have the potential to fix up their mistakes and take it
its literally fnc’s best map and one of heretics’ worst, if th win this it was always going to be a 3-2
they just beat bbl on it…
they dont have the best haven at all but it makes more sense to ban a map you haven’t won than one you have
pretty close game, heretics should ban fracture and liquid ban pearl, both teams got owned on their best maps today (icebox and split)
it'll probably come down to who wins on lotus i think
i really hope you're somehow getting paid for all this heretics hate, i have no other explanation that doesnt question your sanity
second the glory, thats a great show
not a kdrama but alice in borderland is great as well
according to last.fm:
https://www.vlr.gg/post/4493296/2025-prediction
i somewhat agree :)
im 90% sure you could cherry-pick moments from every single international event, this event was fire and the quality was much higher than you think it was
no teams even seem that good? this feels really high-level so far
agree but g2 have looked pretty shaky on both fracture and bind as well, more so than t1 so far imo
the veto looks tough for g2 regardless, t1 will ban out abyss (one of g2's best maps) and have proven they can challenge and maybe win on g2's likely first map pick (pearl), rest of the map pool looks pretty decent for t1 as well
so we’re complaining about this and not the weird comments on vlr made toward a lot of the female analysts/translators?
lol i also picked vit edg t1 drx to make it out (unfortunately forgot to do the pickems for these 1-1 matches in time)
lmao incredible
*1-3, they beat lev (?) in lower finals of stage 1
i havent watched a ton of china but i watched most of the trace and edg games this kickoff, i just tend to value consistent initiator play more than duelists, though yeah kai and fengf have insane mechanics
based on my predictions but i do think that a lot of players who performed in kickoff will also perform at bangkok
Keeping up with the tradition:
Top 20 Masters Bangkok Player Ranking:
I stick with my initial delusion that T1 will win Bangkok over G2, so I kinda have to have a T1 player in first
theyll be back stage 1, they've become the fnatic of last yr
(except hopefully they win an international this yr i beg)
nah issok, heretics played terrible today but they will be back in stage 1
i cope
they looked pretty good after moving away from the no-duelist fracture, i think most people are saying this run has been luck because bbl looked a lot more promising in their first two games and then obv bombed out, and a lot of people predicted fut to be t3 so not getting that feels like its a "fluke" when liquid just outplayed them
lots of good strats from talon but also a little one-dimensional from t1, they're just exec'ing
vitality just insane... fut arent even playing that bad, they just can't do anything about these players
i got some spicy ones (i genuinely believe these)
Bangkok: T1 over G2
Toronto: Heretics over NRG
Paris: Trace over Vitality
i knew this would happen :) https://www.vlr.gg/pickem/8b5f8c05
(pls ignore the terrible kru call, i shot my shot and missed the court)
comes down to 12-team league at the end of the day, this is by far the best format you can do for a 12-team kickoff tournament
whether or not having only 12 teams in the league is a problem is a different issue
gc definitely gave a spotlight for flor to shine, so i would argue that it contributed significantly to her signing to a t1 team this year
if you don't mind me asking, how exactly would riot motivate teams to sign gc players outside of the current method? the company just asking teams to do so would not affect anything, and providing financial motivation for them to do so would likely fall under your self-defined umbrella of "inequity"
its pretty decent for the losing team, and speaking as the biggest meiy fan, its not like he was always farming when dfm was losing last year
unironically molsi is hitting the best flashes ive ever seen on kay/o, every one of his flashes is having incredible impact
probably? there wasnt that much reaction to flor's ace today, just like 2-3 posts
if they get to bangkok, unfortunately no team will let them pick haven
emea: 6/8
americas: 5/8 (very cooked tho, i had kru doing rlly well and got bit for that)
pacific: 4/6
china: 7/18 (messed up believing in wolves)
i take back everything i said, his op is looking nice rn
