The reasoning is probably that primmie is very good in the clutch (he literally won 2 1v4s in his debut), so they probably want to put him on agents that don’t die quickly. I’ve been a supporter of primmie flex for a while now, but the problem was who was gonna play duelist. If thyy’s ranked skill transfers here, so primmie can flex a bit more, then talon are going to look scary imo

For some reason, I thought this was going to be a rage bait list, but like this is actually pretty solid LOL

Xlg and g2 are playing with subs so there’s that

honestly I agree with the double duelist (mostly because im a sucker for double duelsit), but like miniboo is actually a good duelist. He was lowk insane during stage 1

posted 1 week ago

probably shoulda yoinked the prx ascent comp with a slight alteration. keep shrimp on omen which he is very good at, kira on viper, xiyiji can play scan, delb on vyse, and spitfires on yoru. Keeps everyone on comfort while still being somewhat meta

It means "nothing." As in "they're landing nothing!" (i assume that's what you're talking about)

edit: or alternatively, "no chance"

posted 1 week ago

even if they do, they probably won't be competing for the bottom of every tier list now...

posted 1 week ago

why tf did they ever bench spitfires??? he was legit their best player last year :/

posted 1 week ago

he's genuinely a good player. It's just zeta's coaches are... yeah... at the game tbh. They love taking rising T2 talents known for specific roles and then putting them on off roles. It's happened with hiron and now syouta. Legit, it cannot be that hard to find a talent known specifically for that role you're looking for...

don't be stupid and don't do that

posted 1 month ago

Well, 2G is relatively solid currently, and now that their probably best or second best player is back, they should get better

posted 1 month ago

I think he would thrive more off of hard entry duelist tbh. He's very good in the clutch situation and entry duelist doesn't really facilitate that at all. I think at the beginning of the season when he was flexing/senti, I would've been hella down to say he is, but while he's still probably the most impactful player on tln, I think that he could be even more impactful should the roles change

I wonder how this would change with kickoff stats included

seycara is pretty good

the issue is visas. getting a talent that can speak spanish is difficult and they probably can't find someone in latam with a visa fast enough. 2G legit lucked out with pxs back then. I think if nerve locks in and learns spanish, it would make it a lot easier tbh

For china, it would’ve been slowly if his team wasn’t complete buns

Oh, of course, I completely agree with your points. It is interesting to see the juxtaposition of who is defending flor vs sinaatra/flashback (I wouldn't really count Mazino along with the other two because the initial accusation for Mazino was kinda goofy). I was just providing context for Gerogorum since I assume he didn't know the extent of the flashback story. Personally, I prefer not to comment/form an opinion about stuff like this when it's fresh, since I prefer to listen to both sides and get a more nuanced POV that simply isn't possible when what are essentially nukes are getting thrown around, so any comment/reply I make is going to be akin to expanding on situations that already have blown past with a generally accepted consensus instead on current drama :P

posted 1 month ago

from what I remember, flashback (essentially) got accused of something WAY out of proportion compared to what he actually did. Basically, the allegations of rape turned out to be partially mistranslated (as in, rape was the wrong word to use, but one person translated it that way and it spread like wildfire), the sex was consensual (but the issue is flashback allegedly ejaculated inside when he promised to pull out), and flashback was a minor when it was happening so it wasn't like he was pulling a Diddy as people were claiming. Now, he shoulda used protection and/or pulled out, BUT the act of sex itself was consensual and it was between two minors of the around same age.

+slowly would be absolutely cooking. legit, would make edg a contender for #1 china again and probably like top 3-5 in the world

Is he getting replaced? He's actually pretty decent

he's from an eastern part of russia iirc, which looks less European for obvious reasons

tbf the issue with smurfs is you have no clue if they are smurfing or if they just came from another game. If donk decided to boot up val, he'd probably be in gold/plat lobbies initially (for his placements since that's just how placements work ig), but he's obviously mechanically better than everyone else, so he'd just dumpster on everyone. Alternatively, imagine one switches to a different tac shooter for like 2 years and then just came back to val recently... obviously mmr means that they'll be in bronze/silver lobbies initially :/

edit: smurfs are kind of just an unavoidable issue for f2p games like val. There's no way to moderate it because there will simply be too many false positives imo

prx is a very small org. They can't afford to splurge on fns and tenz like that (they can't even afford an assistant coach for alecks lmao)

tbh I think putting primmie on duelist isn't the best way to utilize him (basically, my thought process is that he has a VERY strong clutch gene (he literally won 2 1v4s on his debut), so I would put him on agents with more longevity like sentinels instead of dive agents (but what do i know, I'm an armchair backseater xD). Anyway, I think he would lowkey be very good for the team since he would fit on senti on pretty much every map (and then just slap him on yoru/jett on some maps). Here are some comp ideas! (with some prx flair with jinggg on full time duelist)
Icebox: jinggg (jett), primmie (kj), davai (viper), forsaken (kayo), patmen (sova)
Pearl: jinggg (phoenix), primmie (jett), davai (astra), forsaken (vyse), patmen (fade)
Lotus: jinggg (raze), primmie (iso/clove/deadlock), davai (viper), forsaken (fade), patmen (breach)
Split: jinggg (raze), primmie (deadlock), davai (omen), forsaken (yoru), patmen (fade)
Fracture: jinggg (raze), primmie (deadlock/cypher), davai (brim), forsaken (vyse/chamber???), patmen (fade) <- imo just perma ban fracture
Ascent: jinggg (jett), primmie (kj), davai (omen), forsaken (yoru), patmen (sova)
Haven: jinggg (jett), primmie (iso), davai (astra/omen), forsaken (chamber/kj), patmen (sova)

edit: btw I do prefer something because vibes and primmie's english is eh? but this is quite fun in theory

If we're talking outside the mainstream talk and no trophy ever (forsaken and mako have regionals), probably invy. Since LCQ of 2023, he has been top 3 initiator in pacific on a bottom feeder team. I'm surprised no one has poached him yet. Very consistently good, even when he has... a questionable team.

Honorable mention is slowly. He's literally the only reason that Tyloo isn't the worst team in china im ngl. Even though he's relatively new, he's dragging Tyloo's team out of the depths. No joke, if EDG manage to destroy whatever blackmail Tyloo has on slowly (because there's no way he hasn't gotten a better offer from a better team), EDG will win champs paris.

I have a lot of faith in foxy9. 2-1 geng but primmie drops a nuke in quintuple overtime two maps in a row but talon get steam rolled last map.

2-0 for T1 because DRX is going through it with flashback leaving for the umpteenth time

Oh, then, I apologize. I was referencing the remarks that were screenshotted from like 2021, as that is what I thought we were talking about. I was unaware of that since I don't follow his streams :/

I feel like you missed what H3ENnZ and I said. Although, looking back on it, it is misleading that he didn't mention the r joke, but the racist stuff WAS from years ago. We're not acting like that specific joke was from years ago; he said something about the racist stuff, darkog__ asked for clarification about when that was, and I thus responded clarifying the racist stuff was from years ago (and gave a specific age range) but we didn't deny that the other stuff in the relationship was recent (in fact, I did clarify that, although I admit that I should've emphasized the severity of that and I do apologize for not emphasizing that). There is a lot more to the story besides that one joke now, so I, at least, was specifying the timeline for those.

From what I can tell, from immi's perspective, it's EG's first or second ban, meaning that there is a pretty decent chance that it is one of their weaker maps. Secondly, from what immi knows, the roles for icebox would be cooked for EG if they don't have at least one person off role.

edit: although i agree that it was a bad read considering c9's icebox is equally as bad...

Yeah, I would typically agree, but (at least in America) the stuff that cane said is tamer than stuff I've heard around middle school students (this is not hyperbole) in the modern day (source: I had to unfortunately go to my cousin's elementary). Unfortunately, the accumulation of lazy parenting (of parents just slapping an unregulated device onto children) and the misogynist sphere that rooted itself in the younger generation has led to kids like this. It's sort of an echo chamber that is hard to fix, since no matter what good parents do, the unregulated children will influence the others. I think, that given the political/social climate of America and how impressionable the younger generation are, we have to give cane some slack. I don't think he is right at all, but we have to be more nuanced about this than "cane good" or "cane bad."

posted 2 months ago

Yeah, imo, it's two teens that don't know how to be mature about their situation but are given a platform. This is lowkey exactly the type of stuff that happens in high schools (as in people breaking up going scorched earth with each other because that's how teens handle relationships I suppose), which is not that shocking since both of them are high school students, but because the people involved have a platform, everyone is giving their two cents about it and thus are dividing people on the issue.

posted 2 months ago

He's 16 now, so he was a preteen when he said all that and it was before he joined nv

edit: the racist stuff. The other stuff within his relationship was when he was 14-16(?).

imo cryo's yoru definitely could use some work, and he's only played two games on yoru and the one he did well on is against a lower end team. His iso, on the other hand, looks more polished (and is WAY easier to learn). Asuna's yoru is also pretty decent, so here's what I would personally run:

[Perma ban fracture]
cryo - iso (haven, split), chamber (lotus OR run iso on lotus), Jett (ascent, pearl (or run chamber pearl), icebox)
Asuna - yoru (haven, pearl), raze (lotus, split), kayo (ascent, icebox)
Boostio - kj (haven, icebox), vyse (lotus, ascent, pearl), viper (split)
Zander - omen (haven, lotus, split, ascent), astra (pearl), viper (icebox)
Eeiu - sova (haven, ascent, icebox), fade (lotus, split, pearl)

Basically, the idea is to keep boostio on his comfort pick of senti, cryo on mainly iso chamber and Jett as those seem to be his best agents (since yoru has proved to be inconsistent), asuna on either raze or flash agents (no gekko since gekko proves to be a bit of a challenge). Zander and eeiu have good picks as it is, so no major changes to comps there. Fracture is perma ban because, ideally, you want to run double initiator and raze/neon, but Asuna can only be one of those at a time.
