Been thinking a lot about how much the game (and the scene) has changed since the early days.
What’s something you miss from old Valorant?
Could be formats, systems, content, events, coverage, storylines — literally anything.
Do you miss open circuits like the old Challengers system?
The weekly tournaments?
Player storylines and rivalries?
Or maybe just the chaos of early Tier 2/3?
This loss shows something that’s been clear for a while. One of the main issues in the Americas region is that there are just too many weak teams.
How can top teams like Sentinels prepare properly when most opponents play MD3s just trying to get five rounds per map?
The region really needs to step up. NA and LATAM/BR teams have a lot of talent, but as long as the league has so many underperforming teams, results like this will keep happening.
It’s not only about individual skill, it’s about the level of competition overall. Until that improves, surprises like this are going to be normal.

Last year, Riot made $35 million from Champions skins alone. What’s so hard about investing just 5–10% of that into Tier 2 and actually supporting the ecosystem, instead of outsourcing all the work?
