Not more strats: more optimized strats for what they’re trying to do. Look at chess for example, because nothing has changed in 200 years, strategies are so optimized and so well known we have names for 90% of em.

Valorant will never have a revolution in tactics akin to Astralis’s inferno banana take (using coordinated grenades and such as opposed to sending someone with an awp to slow peak stuff). I feel like a lot of people are treating Valorant as an unsolved game where people just haven’t figured out the optimal way to play. They expect a revolution in tactics akin to what happened in CS that helped lead to long term domination of teams like Astralis. That revolution will never happen.
Why not? Simply because valorant has constantly changing metas. Different teams will figure out the best ways to play on certain metas but long term dominance will happen because of the flexibility of a team to continually adapt (like Faker has throughout his LOL career) throughout different patches. Assuming riot keeps updating the game like they should, there will never be an optimal way to play valo and that’s a GOOD thing.
TLDR: read if you’re bored elsewise don’t bother commenting
The one good thing the US did was make smoking cigarettes social taboo (compared to what it was). Then it got fucked up by vapes.
Yeah exactly. I think if you could get a group of pro players and do it based on map that would be a lot more useful. Like FNS/Boaster saying which agents they prefer on Ascent vs Icebox vs Bind, etc.
My point was that becasue mainly coordinated teams (usually better teams) run her as a double controller, she looks better statistically. If more standard teams ran her, she would do worse. That's why her win% isn't entirely representative of the strength of the agent.
be funnier next time or don't bother
I'm wondering if the data might be biased. Consider Viper as an example. He's taking the win% on maps where she's played against other controllers (so usually not icebox/breeze bc everyone plays viper on those maps), but usually when she's run on say fracture, it's in a double controller comp. And I feel like teams that run double controller usually have better coordination and utility setups (like Fnatic for example), so it makes sense that they'd win more. It's kind of a reverse corralation. Just because teams that are better with utility coordination run viper + another controller, and teams that are better with utility win more doesn't mean that Viper is a better pick in general (especially for less coordinated teams).
I'm so sorry I don't speak portuguese, what does Protocolo Gêneses mean? Genuinely curious.
Genuinely more possible than Cned tho. S1mple said he was considering switching to Valorant cause he's won just about everything in CS and he wants to make room for the next generation soon. He also said he'd want to play with an NA org if he switches. 100T --> needs a cracked out of their mind duelist and has moolah ---> boom S1mple to 100T.
If you’re a white dude yelling it at other people as an insult: you’re being racist
I’ll have to watch the game later, did NOT expect them to beat Xerxia.
Yeah exactly. NA already has so many orgs, just make a good team in Korea where it can actually do better.
You had Berlin quals but not champs final??
Memorable but indigestible, unnecessarily shaky, and not an enjoyable experience overall imo. I get they were trying to make a point about Spanish conquistador greed and violence, but it didn’t really inspire anything other than disgust for all parties involved. If I wanted something esoteric and gruesome, I’d just look at some modern art, not watch an ep of ldr.
Jett, yoru, reyna, neon, and phoenix
Let me explain:
Jett is your smokes
Yoru makes confusion
Reyna --> get kills = win
Neon can run fast
Phoenix is moral support (psychological warfare)
Ez clap
The episodes are very hit and miss tho. Some like Zima Blue and the Tall Grass are FANTASTIC; some like Suits, Ice, and Fish Night are pretty good/fun; others like the Beyond the Aquila Rift and the Dump are meh, and some like The Drowned Giant and Jibaro are crap. This is all in my opinion ofc. I do really recommend Zima Blue if you're gonna watch any episode.
I think parts of it definitely are, but you'd probably want double controller/sentinel or something.
Guard looked good in their last three games idk what you're talking about. They were one round away from beating XSET who's currently in the upper final, and they sadly ran into EEIU having a life game. I also have hope that they'll do better in LCQ. How's Liquid doing?
First half of 2022 they were pounding now they're dropping spaghetti all over the place
I liked invincible. Atla is amazing ofc.
Watching them rn, and it's very sad. Just got eco'd on the second round :(
Pretty good but I'm not great with my viper setups yet (I think viper and omen are by far the best controllers on the map). I'll have to watch nAts play it or something.
EG in addition to Faze + XSET + C9.
Hey guys I think Loud is actually really good. Who could've predicted this?
Optic has a shit ton of firepower as well. I mean, yay + marved alone is enough.
No one gives a shit. Just be excited we have NRG vs Faze and FPX vs M3C to see who moves on PLUS Optic vs XSET and Guild vs Fnatic. They should all be bangers! I’m hoping for Faze, M3C, Optic, and Fnatic to win, who you guys got?
Nah I guarantee this happens all over, the NA ones just blow up more.
Exactly!! Excited for when Guard/C9/100T win LCQ.
Literally just make his tp have a 45 sec cooldown, and reduce the slow duration time (not how much it slows you tho)
Really good article! One tip tho: I think using less dense paragraphs would help you a lot. If you look at some of the news articles on this site like (https://www.vlr.gg/109452/four-remain-after-one-week-of-na-playoffs) for example, it's very clear what grabs your eye and is important information. They use bolding, more line spaces, etc, to do that.
When I see your block of text, it's hard for my brain to instantly pick up on what the main points are. That being said, I agree completely with what you say and I think this is a great piece! You should apply to be a writer for VLR :)
TGRD because I want them to have a LAN redemption arc and also I really like Saya and mce!
How are they boring???? They literally popularized the neon on most maps.
individual --> no
team ---> yes it impacts badly
You're on VLR my dude
Trent’s stage 1 performance was actually better than Alfa statistically. But yeah I think being around more players who’ve been on lan before will help a lot.
Nice! Hope they make it :)
