Like why not Enzo? Let scream frag

Could win tournaments: Loud/NRG/100T/LEV (last two more uncertain)
Can make it deep: C9/SEN
Decent: EG
Probably not great: Furia/Kru
Punching bag: MIBR

Honestly still looking pretty good. I didn’t anticipate talon being awesome and I hoped FPX would be a bit better, but I got the rest right!

posted about a year ago

TRUE, that was also surprising esp since the first few times we saw him he looked garbage

Here’s the thing. Pati is very likely a better player than garnets. In fact I’m almost sure of it. That doesn’t mean talon with pati is definitely a better team than with garnets. At this point we’ll see which direction they go, but I think keeping garnets might not be the worst idea.

100T will be good but I’m honestly hoping fnatic live up to their potential for once. I’d be so fine with a Loud/DRX vs FNC final

Fr, VAMOS LOUD

I wouldn’t take rounds as a great indicator. Valorant is very wishy washy and sometimes teams that are very closely matched can blow each other out on diff maps, and other times a much worse team can win pistols randomly and make it a 13-10 scoreline or something.

Awesome tournament. I’m so happy to have many more pleasant surprises than disappointments, and to see such hype matches!

Hard agree!

DRX then Talon/Geng then PRX imo unless PRX makes some changes

posted about a year ago

Talon over geng imo! Geng do look great tho

posted about a year ago

I thought they would be mediocre at best this tournament, VERY proud to be proven wrong

posted about a year ago

Weren’t you bullied back onto the c9 flair after trying to jump ship 😂😂😂

I love DRX but that consistency wasn’t super surprising yk? They changed their roster the least out of the top teams from last year, so I expected them to do well. Really great performances from them so far though!

  1. Talon are fucking awesome. GarnetS and crws in
particular have been such treats to watch.

  2. S0m went nuts on his international debut. Super cool.

  3. Loud haven’t dropped a beat and their new players are sickkkk. This one is less surprising but still great to see.

All in all, it’s an AMAZING tournament!!

Best take you’ve ever had :)

I totally agree. Despite whoever you think is 'better', I hope we can all agree they're both great players and great for Tier 1 valorant.

posted about a year ago

See they do, but at the same time, I think those moments wouldn't have been remembered nearly as much if other people were casting them. Like consider the kinggg sachel: it was an INSANE play, and the casting from bren and sideshow was SO good in that moment, and that combo is what made it stick in my memory the most. If doug and balla casted it, it would've still been a great moment, but I don't think I would've thought of it so highly.

FNS is undoubtedly the greatest midrounder in valorant history. I even struggle to think of players in other esports who come close to his midrounding (partly through ignorance I'll admit). His mechanical abilities are not top tier as we all know, but I think his calling ability easily makes up for that.

Saadhak is a more 'complete' player, but I don't think that makes him a better IGL.

Bren and Sideshow really are just the fucking greatest. The overwatch league should be ashamed to cut them like they did, but I'm happy we have them in valorant now. If only Uber could come by as well....

Does anyone think he’s not too 5?

Check every highlight vid released in the next 2-3 hours near the end of the match

posted about a year ago

Yeah agreed, but at the same time their last performance against Giants (who were playing WAY better than I anticipated) was fucking unbelievable, especially on Haven. FNS' calling is still at its peak, and now Chett has some vod material on Loud...

VAMOSSSS

I got Loud ngl but it's such a toss up. NRG has been way better than I anticipated, especially crashies and s0m as players.

Heyheyhey lets not be hasty I still think two EMEA teams might very well make it through in the omega bracket. And who knows who wins then?! Either way it's so good to see great teams play after so long!

God this team is great

It’s awesome! He’s looking better than any viper since prime gambit Nats in the short time we’ve seen him.

posted about a year ago

So far he’s by far the most unexpected. He was middling on NRG previously now he’s looking like a TOP tier controller. I did not think I’d be hyped by him.

Hard agree w both of you. Also we can’t forget zekken sova.

It’s simply disingenuous to think these teams WANT to lose in LOCK//IN. Even if it means they’ll do worse later, winning the tournament is such a boost to an org’s brand and fanbase, that it’s absolutely worth it. Plus the players WANT to win. Nobody wants to go home especially not in the first round.

If they lose, it’s bc the other team was better that day, in that match. Simple as that. If you believe otherwise, you don’t belong in a competitive scene, and you’ll get weeded out fast.

The only reason a team would throw is if they’re doing some ibuypower level shit for money.
