Thank you brother
TS can def be top 3 imo. DRX are still quite likely to win, and talon + GenG are strong contenders as well!
Alliance broadband detected --->>> opinion discarded
I wasn't taking fragging as a consideration in my ranking. I know it matters in practice, but I don't think the best IGL means the best complete player. If I was judging by the latter, I'd put Saadhak first 9/10 times.
Thank you SamBR :)
Yo what that 100T 13-0 was more than a year ago??!?!
I mostly agree but Boaster over FNS + Saadhak is ehhhhhhhhhhhhh. He's a great stratmaker and emotional leader, but nowhere near as good of a midrounder as FNS or talent developer as Saadhak. All the others I think are fair. Not sure if chronicle even counts as a initiator tho bc he's been on smokes and senti too. Fantastic player but hard to categorize.
I sincerely hope so 😭😭😭
thank you atastyCook1e
No fr he's been fucking ridiculous
I said that more as a question really, the only other two purebread controllers I'd consider from this tournament are S0m and Tuyz, and I don't think either of them are close to Mako.
Not even close in this tournament lol (plus I don't consider nats a controller)
This isn't an all time list, if it was I would've included guys like Yay.
Yeah I love nats but I've always considered him more of a sentinel anyway. He plays viper like a senti, not a controller, and he's fucking insane at that. I wish Liquid was a better team so we could've seen more of him, but also I love TS so I'm happy they got a chance to show their stuff off!
Suygetsu is great but I rate Shyy equally, and I think he showed more at this tournament. Sentinels are by far the closest category with no clear top contenders, so I totally get if people have different rankings there.
If he comes back to tier 1, he can prove it then. Rn, Mako is unquestionably king.
I just couldn't put him anywhere lol. If I made another catagory called flex gods I'd put chronicle at the top. Then I'd add ardiis and Zekken (yes I don't care he played bad in one game).
Mmmmm
Info:
Flash:
I'm only considering players on lock in teams. This is a very opinionated list, people are free to make their own. I'm only saying a lot about the first person bc I got things to do yk. Maybe I'll update it more later.
1. Aspas
His performance was fucking unbelievable in that semifinal. More than that, he's been incredibly consistent ever since we've seen him on the international scene. The sole reason I rated him higher than Derke (the other god duelist in this tourney) is because he's been putting up insane numbers in CLOSE MATCHES (3-2 vs DRX, 2-1 vs NRG with that giga overtime). Loud has also been supporting him a little bit less than Fnatic has been supporting Derke and he's still been going WILD. This guy is one of the few players in a top team who's allowed to ego peak whenever he wants because he wins all the fucking time.
2. Derke
I don't think anything needs to be said here :)
3. Cned
This guy's good. Pretty damn good
1. Leo
Holy fuck. I knew this guy was good. I didn't know he was THAT good. Not only has Leo been demonstrating insane individual performances for Fnatic this tournament (winning duels, clutching, just putting up insane numbers), but he's also been an insane TEAM player. His util is almost always perfect. He trades extremely well. His game sense is elite among the elite, and there's no way I could justify putting anyone above this guy (even Shao who's insanely consistent with a ridiculous clutch factor).
2. Shao
Nothing needs to be said here also.
3. Crashies
Some of you might disagree here, and I did really consider other players for this third slot (stax, saadhak, cauanzin, mwzera, cloud, Zyppan?), but come on this guy's so consistently great. You can't ignore this dude.
1. Mako
I do not take criticism on this pick. The only guys with the record to maybe compete simply aren't in this tournament anymore (Marved + Pancada imo). Mako is the absolute backbone of DRX, and a key reason for their top 4 finish this tournament. Utility? Absurdly good. Clutching? Unreal. Teamplay? Top fucking tier. Aim? Gigachad. This guy has it all, and MUST be respected.
2 + 3
Lets be real there's such a big tier gap here, I'm not gonna bother to select people. Kinggg or nats on viper maybe if you count that. S0m was pretty impressive as well. Tuyz is fantastic. But none of them even come close to Mako, and I'm not gonna pretend they do for the sake of a list.
1. Less
Phenomenal player. He was the worthy MVP of champs 2022 while having a life performance, and even now that he's cooled off a bit, he's barely slowed down. Incredible player with insane gamesense, aim, talent, you name it he's got it. Sentinel players at lock-in, despite having hard meta agents like killjoy, haven't had any consistent "standout" players, but Less comes as close as you can to one. This closeness makes ranking these guys hard af tho.
2. Shyy
This young god is 70% of the reason Lev looked unstoppable (till they met Navi). You can't deny his talent.
3. Alfajer
I still have no clue how tf mini's this good at scouting, but this dude hasn't disappointed all tournament. Because Fnatic is so unbelievably stacked, Alfajer hasn't shone as much as in the past, but he's the real fucking deal.
1. FNS
I don't give a flying fuck about his aim. If aliens came to earth and were like, we need the brain of your most talented valorant IGL or we'll kill everyone, we'd give them FNS's brain 99% of the time. This dude RARELY misses when it comes to midrounding. He's shown again and again and again how he's able to run around just about ANYONE. In a pure IGL ranking, if you don't say FNS, you're either tripping or baiting.
2. Saadhak
This dude's fucking insane. He's like if you took a slightly less experienced FNS, made him brazillian, and taught him to frag. I don't think he's the best at midrounding....yet. But he very well could be in the future. Also massive props to his player development skills. He took the rookies of Aspas and Less and made them into stars with Sacy, and he's fucking done it again with Tuyz and Cauanzin, alone this time. You can't ignore talent like that.
3. Ange1/Boaster
I rate these two equally. It feels like they switch on and off on fragging, but what they're both really great at is stratmaking. Boaster is insane with just making creative and effective strats in general, while Ange1 is the god of antistratting. Can't ignore those abilities one bit (although they both do like feeding for some reason).
Here's my list. Enjoy!
No fr, his midrounding is just so fucking strong. Nobody in valo rn compares to him in that way.
On sova? Quite possibly.
Sykkuno would diff him guaranteed 1000%
LMFAO sure man. This is a delusional take. The fact is, having more firepower on a team is useful, but not the most important factor towards victory. If it was, previous liquid would've demolished everyone. Firepower means nothing if the players are put in bad situations becasue of lackluster strats, or an enemy igl outmanuvering them. And FNS has proven himself to be the best midrounder in valorant right now. Look at what he did to giants. Sure Nukkye has way better firepower, but because he got outmanuvered by FNS, their team crumbled. FNS would be extremely useful to nearly every team in VCT rn, and I don't think he'll be away from the top 4 position for long at all.
Marved best initiator NA
FNS over ANGE1 and we got a deal
Also Doombros + Sgares as coaches
BRO JUST NISMO
Sliggy and Sgares are GOATED watchpartiers. That plat chat couch for champs 2021 was entertaining af too.
Yay, Marved, Cryo, Crashies, FNS
(how tf do you forget fns??)
Thank you, now let me tell you why trent is better than leo no cap fr 100% on god
Crashies comes close but they're still better rn
LEO AND CHRONICLE JUST TRADED LIKE KINGS
I hard agree. Good take.
Massive Congo1 W. Good user, good take.
That is frankly an insignificant difference. The only reason there’s more men in tier 1 competition is the fact that there’s a lot more men playing overall. It’s a function of statistics, not biology.
Congo’s reaping in the W’s
THIS. But also W post for doing just that.
There’s three real standouts in that ranking and they’re yay, Shao, and derke. Look at the number of rounds played. The other players in the top 10 have around 500-800. But those three all have >1000 played and yay in particular has more than 1500. That demonstrates INSANE consistency.
I don’t wanna hear anyone saying Yay (or Shao or derke) aren’t consistently incredible lol
Holy fuck when did you get back here?
I thought your stint as the baiter wowman was the end of it. Good to see you back goat.
DRX and Loud are both S tier teams without a doubt. Fantastic series from both of them!
