Imo the only reason yay didn't look like his usual self in the last two matches we saw him play (super small sample size too) is bc C9 wasn't prepped enough and didn't play well as a team. I think people are recency biasing yay hard and forgetting how fucking incredible that guy is.

I feel like they didn't offer him a lower salary bc that's just not how this works. They signed a contract to pay him a certain amount for the year, and if they break that contract, they'll have to pay a severance fee. You can't fault yay for wanting the salary he was contracted for, and I think it's implausible to argue they should just make a mutual agreement based off goodwill considering all the shady shit C9's been doing recently.

It's also NOT a good example to cut player salaries based on recent performance (and not what they were initially contracted for). I'd argue that's not only immoral from a worker's perspective, but would also lead to some SUPER wack business deals (even worse than what we currently have in esports).
