I had to wake up at 3am to watch BLG game then tried to go back to sleep at 5am but couldn't - they gamed too hard
he knows holy shit
ykw maybe, they are quite strong in rematches. Let's see
literally just added that it was the first time
"many times" bro they've played BLG twice ever, and won both. Whzy only used judge on split ONCE. It took EDG like 2 rounds to adapt
"Judge abusers!!"
First time whzy tried to judge on split against EDG in finals he got shut down hard. This a NRG issue for making the Judge look too OP
yeah whzy judge couldn't do shit against EDG
If you're losing to so called "Braindead plays" then who's really the braindead team here. BLG played very smart, aggressive individual plays doesn't mean they all played like that - the trap play they set up in heaven on round 20 was genius
What tf are you on about??? There are so many vods of CN games, FGC act 1-3, CN qualifier, etc. Teams have known EDG's playstyle since they attended LAST CHAMPS - APAC teams have known even longer (3+ years in scrim circle). Yet many teams still couldn't antistrat them
Just because you haven't watched chinese teams doesn't mean the teams haven't. And people were saying the same thing about PRX, and look at them now?
Definetely, but it depends far more on the org than the actual team. Current talent exists but the issue is it's VERY spread out, a problem unique to China because it's rare to find experienced players that have known Val long before its release. So it takes a lot of money and commitment to bring these players together, and even with that the org needs to have good international presence to make the right decisions, one example being EDG's choice to kick life from the team - that's not an easy decisions to make, and most teams would keep him despite it making team comps worse.
I expect Weibo Gaming to invest and develop an insane team next, I don't think ASE as an org will do well thus the team won't catch up to international level. As for FPX they should be caught up especially with the TW igl and their money but idk they still don't seem there yet which is strange
We aint usually insane at fps games because they're not that popular here, but Valorant is like the first fps in China with this much recognition, idk how the playerbase is yet but I haven't had to wait more than 2 seconds yet for an unranked queue so its prob quite big alr. Maybe truly the first time CN dominates an fps
EDG def have the most bandwagoners rn but as a long time fan damn it has felt good watching their run from the start
BLG are almost at EDG's level, the CN quals grand final were far closer than what the results made it seem like
Maybe if you watched actual matches such as the CN qualifier grand final (EDG vs BLG) you'd realise BLG are actually very good. It's your fault for not following along, as someone who watched most of BLGs matches I expected their win today
aggressive individual plays doesn't make the entire team aggressive. Look at the way they anchored site and stopped the pushes
There really isn't a massive gap and you would know that if you watched the CN qualifier finals. BLG are srsly very good, I knew they'd beat nrg
yeah except Berlin had an off game today, usually is the best player on the team
because its translated??
EDG is just one guy who's good with one gun and that's all
Good bait bro
viewers are at around 10% of the hype number
uh Berlin most likely did understand tbh since he from Taiwan and almost all the people there speak English to a decent level
Sweetcorn
It's low-key so good
BLG will beat NRG, mark my words
wow this is next level cope
Holy that line is actually cold 🥶
how did zmjjkk NOT diff cned
There's loads of videos out there showing the experiences of non white people in China, depending on the place it really isn't as bad as you imagine. Many times the conversation turn out very positive and they definetely won't get arrested for random little things
competitively
哇,兄弟!你中文好棒啊。我在中国玩了几个星期了,这地方太好了。。我不想回英国😭😭
GC is there to support a community which has been deemed less 'acceptable' by society to play video games. That's why there's a smaller community, it's not just because females are biologically worse or anything, stop saying that. This system therefore exists as a positive force to encourage and most importantly develop this community, maybe so that one day women are incorporated into the actual VCT.
As for trans people, they've gone through this same 'shunning' but for some who have been viewed as males for most of their lives they may have not - so I can understand why people are angry but at the same time it's unreasonable to dig into their past to find out, so it's better just to give them the benefit of the doubt. And honestly just imagine the kind of toxicity and transphobia they'd often experience in ranked anyway, regardless of when they transitioned. Also it's not like every trans player is topping the charts and destroying everyone else in the scene, so people really shouldn't be that mad over it.
Just my thoughts.
anti-west blasts on China media too but from my experience the people here are highly aware of it, they don't have these extreme views on the US
