100T is sleeping tho; undeniable

Yeh i dont get it... Asuna always looked good on raze; I think he felt like he'd crumble under pressure when he didn't play flex. It's a waste, he's one of them zoomers

Leaving EU ruined UK esports scene??????

The camera angle does him dirty, sometimes he looks like an angry bald midget
Don't get me wrong, I love Onur; his coaching is great (as KRÜ fell off as soon as he switched to Leviatàn)
I guess broski has some giant hands

RULE BRITTANIA!
No honestly; I would easily see L1NK, Mistic and even ec1s (with a bit of leniency- mind you) competing on teams like KOI or TH, I don't see them underperforming in T1 events

I've noticed a trend in Tier 1 VALORANT competition; from the inception of the VAL esports scene the amount of Brits playing in the highest rated teams has gone down with every single tourney.
Both TL and FNC fielded mostly British rosters but now all that remains in VCT are Soulcas, Boaster and Dephh (who has been playing in NA for the past 7 years now)
Other big EU countries like Italy and Germany don't even field a single player though their populations are gigantic in comparison to countries like Finland or Lithuania
I don't really consider it a problem; but it might have an effect similar to Korean CS; basically ruining its scene because of lack of interest thanks to there not being many Tier 1 KR players

Edit: I know T2 VALORANT fields a lot of British, German and Italian players; but I feel like some of these regions are also being "godfathered" by Riot; there's no separate league for Benelux or Poland, but Portugal does get its own league. I'm not salty about it or something, but Poland has a massive amount of talent in it not being given the chance to come up in T2, which some regions get as well.
I get that not every single EU country can have its league (we cant go around having 40+ VRL groups of course) but keep in mind that the T2 domination is largely thanks to these strangleholds on the competition due to there being Italian, DACH and Spain VRL leagues

Boomer absolutely wrecking zoomers on duelists LMAO
ANGE1 has been so consistent even since his CS days its incredible
Honestly, seeing this NAVI roster I'd have considered ANGE1 the weakest link (not a bad IGL of course, but smth like Boaster who calls but doesn't frag as much) but he full-on disproved that
Mad respect to my boi Kyrylo

What I'm trying to say, is that the TR teams (FUT and BBL) should get their rosters TR upgrades. The whole intention of having partnered teams in different regions is so that they can get talent from around the region. Having every team be TR players would undermine the core concept of partnered regions; if you think TR is best, go for it but don't assume TL would drop their entire roster for unproven T2 TR players

Many of the rosters just need time, no?
I wouldn't want to be in KOI's shoes facing NRG in ur first match, we haven't seen their full potential.
Same goes with TL and TH, u can never be sure these teams weren't fluked.
I'm not saying their opponents are bad or easily beaten, but EMEA has its fair share of talent.
TR has a lot of good players, but they have got themselves two 5-man rosters in VCT now, not even considering Alfajer or cNed...

Oh, say, can you see
By the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hail'd
At the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars
Through the perilous fight
O'er the ramparts we watch'd
Were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare
The bombs bursting in air
Gave proof through the night
That our flag was still there
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free
And the home of the brave?

Soulcas on his own is not bad, if ur playing a sage on icebox ur sole purpose on attack is to run in, plant, and probably die.
If youd want to replace him, I'd honestly see L1NK fit for a replacement. BaddyG is also viable, tho he hasn't been in tier 1 competition anymore

PRX got the second place curse last champs. I most definitely see ZETA being a top team in the Pacific League but I don't see them consistently performing over PRX and/or DRX
They definitely can make the playoffs in any tournament (as they proved in Reykjavík). Let's see how they perform, yes?

TL:

  • Overhyped? ScreaM is the definition of hype. I'm sure many people watch series just to see him pop off. There are reasons there's hype u know, maybe because they're a good team huh?
  • Choking? I only remember Haven vs V1 which was bad, but their comebacks outweigh their chokes. Mind you they qualified for champs both times when it mattered most. Did they choke?
  • Reykjavik: TL was out of the tourney. Chances are they didn't care a lot about it (which they themselves said). Even then they still topped groups and lost to Zeta who ended up in 3rd place. Definitely also a bad team huh?
  • Carried by ScreaM: How so? Soulcas went like 35/20 on mf Astra. Anyone in their team can carry. Nivera fucking ACED in his first pro round and he plays support.
  • 0iq? No. Mine is at least room temperature. However, spewing BS over silly esports forums is definitely a sign that you're a lot smarter.

And wait till you see TL on lan. 3rd at champions btw, lost to winners)

Coaching staff: d00mbr0s, sliggy (former), mini

Clutch: Shao
Yes 100T are good, they dont have three of the best players in the world. If that were the case, they'd have rolled everyone in copenhagen though they didnt

If we're talking modern day you should care more about the latest results. I don't think you can compare 2021 V1/SEN to 2022 FPX right? W take btw, the only person in this mf thread who doesnt just stop EMEA BEST or NA BEST

posted about 2 years ago

It's always been one region, the challengers events were separate but the qualification for masters always happened with EU, CIS and TR together.

Alright so I was just wondering; do you know how the showmatch before a grand finals is a staple of CS majors? I hope there will be one in Istanbul, especially with a crowd there, perhaps some team Turkey, that'd be fun right?

posted about 2 years ago

they subbed him out cuz they could. its their 6th man, only map 4 and even though he underperformed for a jett that doesn't mean purp0 doesn't know the team
packet loss issue is not their fault, go look at literally all the other matches. TL just proved they're a top 3 EMEA team and if guild (who are then lower) can wreck optic i dont think theyre gonna let EMEA down

posted about 2 years ago

I guess thats why lan is a thing eh, I'd assume as tournament organisers you'd choose the optimal servers to make things equal but I guess CIS is just not as lucky
Oh yes, d3ffo shouldn't have left lmao, I just hope the entire team gets picked up like Gambit CS, cause only chronicle and nAts on another team wouldn't work
