Lets say Riot does allow someone to buy the spot hypothetically and its G2 or DSG(2 names off the top of my head). What's not stopping either of those orgs from buying the spot and never picking up The Guards roster????. Riot cant tell that org who's potentially losing money buying the spot who they can and cant sign(other than import rules and player bans) Like the roster was never set in stone and would have never been. they earned the spot FOR The Guard to build a team but The Guard technically still had the right to drop the entire roster if they wanted to stay in franchising anyways. But they decided not too and just completely left valorant. i feel so bad for the players but their spots in t1 wasn't secured the orgs spot was. i was so excited to see The Guard players stomp 100t but ig it wont ever happen now..... 100t dropped him, T1 literally left the region after his ass team had no success, he never made it into tier 1 when franchising happened, and he got dropped from t2 DSG mid season.
