is sekiro harder than elden ring? I haven't tried elden ring yet
not happening, NRG is one of the few orgs in NA that can still afford to consistently overpay their players
does OCE even have a good pro scene in any game? their geographical location is limiting and their population isn't THAT big so I don't think this is abnormal or an issue with the system in particular (though the system does have its issues)
yeah sure buddy, it's not "stealing". it's still illegal and you're making use of products that you haven't paid for the license to use πΉ and your moral questions are also stupid, try using your brain for a moment to think about why two people paying different sums for the same product (and one supports the creator while the other one doesn't) aren't on the same moral level
you're entirely missing the point, sure you don't own the game in a legal sense but we're not arguing legality (and it's meaningless in this instance to go there). you pay for the license to access the game therefore accessing the game without that license is equivalent to stealing. let's think of it a different way, if a person pays for a lifetime gym membership and a person doesn't pay at all but also uses the gym, are they on the same moral pedestal? the person paying doesn't own the gym equipment, does that make it morally correct to use it without paying? and this is just an example from the top of my head, there's better examples that involve licenses in which case it's still unfair/illegal/morally questionable to make use of <whatever> without the license
you can use whichever terms you'd like such as "ownership" and "stealing" but both are ultimately irrelevant to the point you're making
also I'm not sure where you got the "most games don't allow mods" thing, from what I know it's the opposite
"practically own it". more than 90% of the people buying a game aren't gonna mod it. same for the people pirating it, the majority of them aren't going to mod it. even the games with the largest modding communities only have a minority of the players actually using them.
you do practically own most of the games you can buy and you still choose to pirate them πΉwhy do people try to get the moral high ground for this? you're pirating cause you're unwilling to pay, stop acting like you're doing something honorable or some shit
also this isn't to say that piracy is completely moral, since in some cases it does harm profits significantly. the point is that the issue isn't as clear cut as you make it to be
I haven't read the whole thing, I've only seen extracts from it on news websites πΏ
https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2017/09/eu-study-finds-piracy-doesnt-hurt-game-sales-may-actually-help/
you can either check on the news or read the conclusion at the beginning
nah, few people pirate a game because they literally can't buy it, they pirate it cause they'd rather spend their money on something else.
there's also been studies that showcase that there was a correlation between games being pirated and their profits increasing (in %)
https://cdn.netzpolitik.org/wp-upload/2017/09/displacement_study.pdf
this isn't to say that piracy isn't, on some level, immoral but that's a whole other argument and then we'd have to consider how overpriced some games are, the studios developing them and their relative value etc etc
it's not that unlikely but sen fans will never accept it KKKKKKKKK
if I had a nickel every time someone said "I'd have a nickel" I'd have 500 nickels which is a lot since it isn't an interesting or funny or original or creative saying
majority of people that pirate a game wouldn't have bought it even if they couldn't pirate it πΉpiracy is thought to be bad since it harms profit but if anything it helps make more profit in most cases since some people who enjoy the pirated game end up buying the real version
same applies for most other online piracy
they've barely won half of their games, is this the first one you watched?
marved might just be the most overrated player of all time
damn that's still pretty bad, for me everything other than bahrain/dubai is 120+ ping, when it reaches 170 everyone is teleporting around and it's completely unplayable
is that a thing? does it bypass server lock?
yes? that's why he'd be a good addition to NRG
james ff is the peak VLRian, got a bit of attention and became obsessed with it πΏ
I haven't been keeping up with Lev but wasn't it said that aspas' contract expires this year and he was displeased with management for kicking nzr?
wdym, johnqt is literally the best igl itw π‘π‘π‘
I think every pro team podcast I've seen is pretty awkward but NRG's even more so, there's so many more interesting things they can do for content like simply short form QnAs (with actually interesting val related questions) but instead they're mostly just doing podcasts and tiktok adjacent content.
the only video I can think of in recent memory that was entertaining was the fiverr coach one
bro wouldn't have been saying this if verno wasn't going to NRG πΉb0lkyl0tt0c0
it's kinda funny how they have the biggest focus on social media of any org yet they manage to come up with the worst content. even c9's tips videos are better
that's still not true, 2024 is literally the only year where they were really overrated
2022 they were pretty much irrelevant and no one gave 2 shits about them, 2023 people were saying they lost their 2 best players and they weren't being put in S tier by most at the beginning of the year
yes the results were disproportionate to the quality of the players, but they were no super team
no he doesn't, none of those rosters aside from 2024 were a super team even if you take into account how the players performed after they left the team
fym 3-4 super teams πΉbro is talking for the sake of talking, the only one that was a super team was 2024
johnqt > FNS (IGL)
zellsis > ethan (flex)
good jokes πΉ
tried to sneak in mazino πππ
it seems to me that you have a misconception about sample sizes! the necessary sample size to arrive at a conclusion will vary from one investigation to another, as it is entirely relative. in the case of an ever-changing industry like esports where careers are short, 3-4 years is a significant period of time which is more than sufficient to reach a conclusion.
judging by how jingg was grouped in 2/3 of the champs he attended, we can safely arrive at the conclusion that he is a mediocre player who cannot perform when it matters.
in fact, based on his 2024 performance, it seems that he is nearing retirement so there is little more samples that can be gathered in the future.
on the other hand, derke has been grouped 0/4 times.
additionally, a quick glance at statistics shows that the player jingg CANNOT be seen in the top 10 of any global tournament, this is truly peculiar. I wonder why?
derke's average placement in champs: 5.4
jingg's average placement in champs: 7.7
it's clear by their placement in the most important tournament of each year who the better player is, hope this helps!
you know what else is a fact? derke 2 trophies j0ngg 0
cope or bait or retardation or all three?
derke was NEVER a top 2 duelist over a year, you can argue he was a top 2 duelist after lock in and that's about it, 2022? definitely not. 2023? definitely not. 2024? definitely not. 2021? KKKKKKKKKKK
there's a reason jingg has zero (0) trophies
bcj was definitely better than zekken in champs
even in radiant the average isn't high 30% (granted they have better movement but my point stands), it's a good thing to have high HS% but if you're getting the kills it doesn't really matter. unless your HS% is in the single digits it's probably not what's holding you back the most
his HS% is decent, it's not THAT bad
