I think NRG would've beat EG in the lower finals (had they beat prx, but I still favor prx to win pearl even if s0m had won that round) but they would've lost to fnatic and I don't think it'd be as close as 3-2, maybe a 3-1 at best. NRG is just stylistically bad against a default heavy team with significantly better firepower like fnatic (or on the opposite end of the spectrum, an aggressive team like PRX) whereas EG which is somewhere in the center they are better against. I think if NRG played EG in champs it would've been a closer game than vs BLG (though they still would've lost)
on that note, people will act like EG suddenly became amazing in tokyo but their playoffs form in americas was also great and they barely beat NRG the first time, lost the second (though probably were saving strats) and loud stomped both. I think loud had a very good chance of winning tokyo if they didn't change to their retarded comps and played like they did in americas playoffs
