i think he has a good brain too, which is why I'm surprised he still hasn't tried looking for a head coach spot but idk I think I disagree with you on the mechanics part. FNS ange1 and vanity for sure have ugly mechanics but I dont think they have bad mechanics, while I believe steel actually does have bad mechanics relative to a t1 player. I could be wrong about that who knows but I deffo do agree steel seems to be more adaptable and more flexible on agent selection, i would have to look back to make sure but from memory i agree.

exactly. fnc has a system that has been PROVEN TO WORK for years before this event with the core staying the same. they are in a much much better situation compared to c9 to compete at this tournament. comparing both teams is silly

idk if they will win but fnc have to most likely play sen - t1/furia - 100t, to qualify. i think fnatics route is easier compared to c9 playing drx in their 2nd series

  = been competing consistently at the pinnacle of Valorant AS A TEAM for 527 days (even excluding the 5 months prior to 2021 berlin, where they had a 100 win streak and we knew they were the best in Korea)

c9 before this event:

• team was made 70 days ago and haven't been able to play any real tourney or event before this game
• Yay is the only player on this team with comparable experience to drx (5 world events)
• vanity = 2 world events
• zellsis, leaf, xeppa = 1 event
  = a newly formed team with high mechanical skill but not a lot of time to find an identity and MUCH more importantly they haven't had a chance to compete against other world class teams in ACTUAL matches and find out what works for them before this event

if I showed you these two teams on paper and hid the org and player names, you would all agree drx should stomp c9. this game shouldn't of been close... but it kinda was. c9 stomped map 1, lost 13 7 on map 2, then lost 13 - 2 on map 3. I guess if you looked at the stat lines it would seem really dominant for drx but if you take into account the fact c9 mental boomed on map 3 instead of playing their game and trying to claw back especially on an attacker sided map like icebox, it might of been a lot closer.

conclusion + tldr
C9 has gained extremely valuable experience from a series they weren't supposed to win. This will help them a lot going into the regular season.

hard question, not many good igls on the market rn + they couldn't drop vanity when franchising got announced due to leaf and xeppa prob being really close with him. I think they just have to stick with what they have because vanity isn't much worse than the other t1 igls and hopefully after the first split, someone will be free if things go badly

yeah vanity is good, but idk if he is good enough for c9 maybe he should try and be an up and comer on a t2 org

Beating a semi tier 1 team (sen) and a tier 2 team gives these onliners a lot of ego.

Yay is rated as a top 3 player in the world, so yes top 5 in the Americas is a big downgrade.

Optic enabled yays bait slow walk playstyle and chamber especially did. There isn't a player on c9 that would take a spot on the old optic roster, thus yay will not have the freedom he had on optic to fuck teams up. Yay will still be a top 5 player in the America's league, but he wont be as dominant as he was before.

• no way nrg does worse than c9, maybe at the start of the season but towards the end of the season, nrg will be miles ahead of c9, unless c9 make changes

good article but proved nothing though, they got one thing right though, no real study to see the difference between men and woman in video games have been conducted. however dozens of studies have proven men have better cognitive skills than woman while woman have better verbal skills than men.

i agree men gulf the womans playerbase especially in a competitive games, but there are more factors for example men have faster reaction time than woman

i agree that is a factor but I still believe there would be a gulf between the genders (eg men have faster reaction time than woman) but it would be nowhere near what it is now tho. i think one day with a big enough playerbase, a top level womans team can be seen a decade or two
