PRX's matches in APAC and MYSG were barely even competitive except against xerxia in challengers 1. then they won against NA/EMEA teams because they didn't respect their aggression (which is the one thing you need to do to counter their style other than being good at the game). the reason they lost against DRX and zeta is that they knew how PRX played from being scrim partners

i'll be the first to admit as someone that keeps up with the JP scene and actually likes zeta that their run was extremely lucky

their matches consisted of:

• the only good KR team (dropped every map)
• 3rd place EMEA with two emergency subs and their only good player gone
• no name BR team
• G2 aka their first opponent that wasn't a bunch of nobodies (dropped every map)
• EMEA team that wasn't even supposed to be there
• the same KR team after their mental was already destroyed by optic
• PRX after already being scrim partners and knowing how they play (aka the only thing you actually need to beat PRX lmao)
• optic aka their second opponent that wasn't a bunch of nobodies (dropped every map)

notice how every time they won it was either another rando team or they got lucky with the circumstances
at least loud (and to an extent PRX) won sets against actual teams without other factors outside the game coming into play

DRX chokes all the time
PRX's aggression depends on them being a dark horse (or fighting against shit teams) and they already lost that
xerxia hasn't done anything despite 4/5 of their players being at every major event together under x10
KRU's champions run was a fluke
leviatan and northeption are first-timers (although northeption looks interesting judging from their set against zeta, looking forward to watching them even if they don't win)
the only one with a fighting chance is loud

most NA/EMEA players and fans just use asian teams as a stand-in for whichever one they don't like, none of them actually give a shit about the region
