if your fanbase is loyal and you have all that money you wanna spend, then spend it on some good players and coaching staff that can actually do some damage in the league. having less time than anyone else is not an excuse, even if you're not a partnered team, because teams like BBL and NAVI have had miles more success while also having complete rebuilds

you signed good players and still got relegated, that's gg, try again next time, you don't deserve special treatment if you're going to play worse than the team you're replacing while having better talent. m8 cried about wanting to pull out of valorant (which is super funny considering their "unfathomably huge and very loyal fanbase" that is more than capable of supporting them in tier 2) so they put rito in a chokehold so that they practically have no choice but to look into loopholes to kick someone out

the org itself isn't entirely at fault because all they did was just threaten to pull out of the scene, but this wouldn't have happened if they just played better lmao.

What's going to happen is that M8 is going to be KOI 2.0; be completely ass for years and years but because they're partnered, they can afford to be ass all the time. nothing's gonna change and we just kicked someone out for no reason

About as much of a chance of that happening as joblife ascending

posted 2 months ago

m8 better be at least making internationals if they want to throw a tantrum for their league spot

imagine if they get a full slot just to be as bad as koi LMAOOOOOO

posted 2 months ago

If you’re an org and your team is ass, then your team is ass, idgaf if you’re the michael jackson of valorant orgs, if you can’t win then it’s gg, you don’t deserve special privileges just because you get a few more views or because you can cry a little prettier

posted 2 months ago

m8 basically whined and cried and threw a tantrum for their spot despite the fact it’s their team that sucked

idgaf if you’re just a guest team, you had COMEBACK and MINNY and VEQAJ, if you can’t find any form of success with the level of talent you have, even at least making playoffs, maybe you should in fact just fuck off from val lmao

Mind you this wouldn’t have happened if m8 hadn’t egregiously thrown 3 series because they have the mentality of newborn kittens

i would be fine with any team that isn't envy winning

This is just called trying to make a good roster that makes sense

falcons just buys out whatever the top talent is and tries to make it work, this vitality roster doesn’t look like that

it’s much likelier that if only one EMEA team is getting out of groups, it’s going to be TL

it’s actually incredibly sad because he’s not that bad of a player, at 19 years old he igled a team to ascension and was putting up decent numbers

furia is just such a disjointed team he just looks more ass than he actually is

posted 2 months ago

considering he’s been a part of the majority of rosters tsm has put out they have found success, i can in fact say he is part of the reason his teams find success

and would you look at that! he has the chance to ascend again! so how is he wasting a slot if he has a better chance than anyone else at ascending?

posted 2 months ago

i guess it’s because alym is from kyrgyzstan

posted 2 months ago

and yet he continues to outplace the majority of people in tier 2 and still sees himself getting chances to ascend

if gmd was as much of a deadweight as you say he is, he simply wouldn’t be performing the way he is, very simple

posted 2 months ago

he led a team to ascension twice, if that’s wasting a slot then quite literally everyone in tier 2 is wasting a slot

posted 2 months ago

he topfragged last game to make grands, i think you’re just hating to hate

fns has always had shaky aim but the problem is in earlier valorant he was able to back it up with insane calls

nowadays it doesn’t look like he has a clear read on the game and was experiencing massive burnout due to being at the tailend of his career (he said himself he simply didn’t feel like competing when he retired) so it didn’t justify him dropping abysmal numbers

back then he was able to facilitate his playmakers (marved, yay, etc) but it didn’t seem like he knew everything that was going on leading to his retirement

posted 2 months ago

sand deserves tier 1 btw

posted 2 months ago

i don’t think his lurks themselves are the problem, in fact i think he is second only to leaf regionally, and even then it’s a very close second

but of course with him having little experience against the best teams, he’s going to have some disjointment not with his own timings but with the rest of his team, specifically when faking sites and then running into stacks

skuba’s bind against G2 was beyond exceptional on defense, but he had little impact against them on attack, and i noticed that he was often playing with the pack and not really allowed to make his own plays which everyone knows he’s capable of making

i suppose that’s more of a prep diff? i just think they’d be a lot better if they allowed him to make
more plays instead of simply relying on mada to be the tip of the spear every round

posted 2 months ago

this is also a factor too, mada is probably the player who takes the most risks and when they work NRG often wins the round, and his late starts hurt his team a lot more than they should be

but like this i think it’s just fixed with more experience (since mada isn’t historically a main duelist, he was often a flex when playing with bdog) and more confidence (though he has plenty of it)

posted 2 months ago

i think ethan’s attack igling is not that bad at all, i think the reason for why they struggle so much on this side is mainly because of their midrounding, and i think this is because one of their main midrounders, skuba, is a rookie and doesn’t have that much experience with attack timings against the best teams in the world

i see a lot of good calls coming from NRG early in the round and then it falls by the wayside, so it tells me that while the strategy looks good, the adjustments are the problem. i think there is a little bit of disjointment between s0m (who is the veteran midrounder) and skuba (who is the lurker and therefore a very heavy piece in attack midrounding) and the differentiation in timings is what causes them to lose a lot of rounds they shouldn’t be losing. i also see some rounds where skuba simply doesn’t lurk and they all hit site while leaving a lot of weak points

this could also be a reason for why skuba has looked off recently, in a lot of their matches he hasn’t looked to be the superstar we expected him to be

while i think ethan’s attack calls could be better (some rounds are still odd calls which is very visible), they aren’t bad at all and can actually contend internationally, but i think there needs to be better comms between their midrounders as well as general confidence from skuba (which will probably be fixed with more experience)

hopefully skuba plays a little more confident and just trusts his team and himself more, if he does then i think NRG has a genuine chance to make a run

posted 2 months ago

historically the 3rd seeds should be beating the 2nd seeds but there’s a reason for why the 2nd seeds made grand finals

they should all be favored against lower seeds because they’re peaking at the right time, even teams like GX NRG DRG, especially considering teams like FNC TH T1 SEN etc are on a downtrend
