tl;dr leo officially retired
Anyone taking zellsis trashtalk seriously in 2025 should probably absorb some sunlight icl
yeah they don’t come close because they haven’t retired
if i was a sen hater id be coping like this too ngl
chill bro he won against the literal favorites to win the whole event
emea russian team looks like a legit superteam icl
don’t worry guys, wolves will beat them! 👊
don’t worry guys, blg will beat them! 👊
don’t worry guys, xlg will beat them! 👊
don’t worry guys, prx will beat them! 👊
my reason for believing it would be trent most impacted due to tejo needs was because of his 2024 performance, he didn’t look so hot and i think tejo is the main reason for his great performance this year
i changed my mind and said that g2 would look weaker while trent still looked good because i think tejo ruins teamplay and not players. tejo makes players worse and i think initiators like trent/n4rrate/ash/etc. are held back because they’re forced to play it, but in turn the game plan of the whole teams becomes a lot more uncomfortable
either way, g2 seemed totally unprepared for a tejo-less meta despite trent looking good
they have a good map pool, just not the best firepower
SEN is probably the most cohesive team in the event outside of maybe GEN, i would say G2 but it doesn’t look like they prepared for this event at all
in what way is this a sneak
too early to tell
right now it seems like GEN/SEN but it can change
i just expected a lot more from g2, who should be good enough to adapt to a different meta
it seemed like they stagnated for 3 weeks and did nothing to prepare for the event
honestly i cant blame you, i thought it would happen too after i saw g2 lose
I just expected more from them
it’s fine getting outaimed because prx have cracked aimers but their strategies don’t even look half as good as they did regionally with tejo
i thought a team with such good adaptability like g2 would hit the ground running even on a different meta but i guess they relied on the agent more than they thought they did
outaimed and outplayed, a healthy mix of both
the tejo merchant allegations were more about g2 than trent, i actually said trent would look fine without tejo and i was right
they just legit seem so lost without him
Tejo isn’t reyna, just because the individual doesn’t play bad doesn’t mean the ideas g2 made in-game didnt look like complete piss
how do you not cook something up after 3 weeks of having time to practice AND plenty of vod against prx (who don’t play tejo) and then just shit the bed like this?? it looks like the team as a whole stopped playing the game after they won stage 1 and just got complacent thinking they’d just roll over everyone at toronto
given how bad xlg looked today i doubt they get double bounced but nah, no shot they make even make lower finals playing like this. they look legitimately unprepared for this event
tejo merchant allegations might be true
zellsis is a lot more important to sentinels than most people think and it's showing
hopefully this one is a banger i'm getting tired of stomps
not even simone biles would be able to do better at gymnastics than the mental ones you did to come to this conclusion
We are completely in agreement i'm not sure what your argument is
yeah that's what i mean
it's probably the easiest of all teams but it isn't the easiest they could've gotten so it's not free
"i'm ready to fuckin' win"
i mean it's the easiest compared to the other teams's paths but in terms of what they could've gotten, it's not the easiest road
this is legit the only easy road they've had in 4 internationals and it's not even the easiest
wolves blg xlg all seemingly paid off by sen
how much money do y'all think rob moore has 😭
this was the same for sen 2023
the fans are always there, they're just silent because they were doing shit
not saying that, it's just funny how that's all people can ever complain about when sen wins because they can't find anything else to complain about
it really is funny seeing these threads because it's the only thing you see after sen wins, because there's nothing to criticize about sen's gameplay so they just have to talk about how the fans annoy them
naaaah, maybe in bangkok but not this event
sen definitely beats any emea team but gets shit on by apac
they did get real teams
if they played only emea teams, THAT would be mickey mouse run
I was told G2 wouldn't have a problem with the Tejo nerfs because they had all the time in the world to prepare? That PRX looked like a team that "wants" to lose, so G2 can't lose?
Give me a break. G2 is obviously a great team and still played well individually but their prep looks like shit. Basic Split comp but not even showing enough cooking, not being able to handle PRX despite VODS being available? Giving so much space to PRX on Lotus? Come on.
I doubt this is the end of G2 being having to change ALL OF YOUR COMPS on all maps, thus having to adapt into a new approach on all maps is hard even with all that prep time. They played Tejo on all maps before, it's madness to pretend it wouldn't hit them hard. Trent is playing Sova pretty well still, but G2 can't rely on Tejo for many of their protocols, individual performance of Trent doesn't matter as much.
