It's 90% the player. The coach is just orchestrating things. The player is the one who has to do everything. Coaching in the pro level doesn't really improve players mechanically. It might improve the game iq of younger players. For the seasoned players, the coach is really just telling the player how they want them to play a role etc. If anything the IGL has way more impact than a coach.

You can have a shit coach, but if your players are good enough the coach will be praised. If you have a "good coach" (whatever that means) your shit players are still gonna lose 13-2
