BBL and VIT over KOI seems like a scalding take

posted about 3 years ago

to Munchkin:

After the LxT tournament, carpe and ban have seemed out of place from the team synergy-wise. How have they (especially carpe) adjusted mentally now it's been a month since and there's a more serious tournament on the line?

I doubted this team because they were the XIA core that were pretty mid in LANs last year, not to mention the fact that they lost sScary, one of their more consistent players at those LANs

But they were mad good this tournament, so I was glad to be proven wrong. They’ll be a force in the Pacific league.

He's not starting over Melser tho

did you just see that stat?

22-3 last year and 7-2 with this comp.

their only losses were to Gen.G and BBL.

posted about 3 years ago

They begin the year with a 5th-8th finish.

The curse begins anew.

SG with a mental break for map 3.

But heading into map 4, that mental might get worse because of the way they lost map 3.

SG 3-0

If they drop a map, I’d be concerned.

Big ups to EG for going toe-to-toe against a top 5 Pacific team.

Potter’s got a serious team cooking and congrats to her being the first ever female coach to win a VCT match.

This team has serious potential to be crazy in the Americas league.

I think GIA have a lot of potential, but let's be real; they are not beating NRG.

  1. They played DFM, who currently look like the weakest partnership team rn
  2. If NRG can beat KOI, the team many considered a darkhorse (including myself), they can beat Giants.

NRG 2-1

Maru already busted my pickems damn.

But damn, HANN is a beast. He could very well be the next upcoming KR Jett.

Unlucky MIBR.

I believed in MIBR too much, but god damn Talon look nuts.

Crws really fits in the smokes role, and garnetS is primed to be a superstar.

Look, even as an EA apologist, DFM looked woeful.

Also no Astra on Lotus? She's pretty sick on that map.

If ZETA wins this, they are going all the way 100%.

Good acid test for both teams.

Man, this website loves to switch up, huh?

Many people thought that Wippie was very underrated back in his V1 days, so much so that when G2 signed him, a lot said that a) G2 is going to ruin his career or b) he deserves better.

So why switch up now? Why call him a bot or a pathetic player? Over some drama? Remember the XSET-FPX fiasco? When people were shitting on both teams? Now, look, not a word about it anymore. It happens all the time, water under the bridge later on.

Soon, this will be a lighter issue since both parties will eventually move on.

Wow, look at the difference between playing Chamber and playing Jett.

That’s more like it. RC looked very fluid. It was nice change of pace.

REJECT stop forcing Chamber challenge (impossible)

Like i have no idea why they’re forcing NERFED chamber.

I am trying to believe in RC, but NTH are on fire

NTH 2-1

Wouldn’t mind if SZ won though.

What’s with the downvotes on those who think ZETA’ll win?

That being said, ZETA win against both.

Stable team structure beats spontaneous gameplay IMO.

Why are we all doubting mCe? The man has proven himself to be a good coach.

He first started his gig with Gen.G, and they actually looked marginally competitive under him.

And let's remember what he did with The Guard; he transformed a young team into one of NA's best. They went from Open Quals to winning Challengers and going to their first-ever LAN, all in 4 months. Despite stage 2 being a misstep in the meta, they nearly qualified for Champions.

You can't deny that mCe can't transform C9 into a powerhouse like he did with The Guard; not only that, he worked with leaf, vanity, and xeppaa so he knows how they work.

Qpert isn't a sub; he's a coach.

He was filling as the sixth man until they found a real sub.

Or, for all we know, both BlackHeart and Qpert are subs.

Is anyone having this 1 in a million issue, or is it just me?

Sent ticket after ticket to the support page because they aren't showing in my ticket history.

Anyone here more experienced with these issues?

I was malding when SZ and JDT were in the same group.

But i was more annoyed when CGZ, BC Swell, Blue Bees, and Varrel were in the same group because all 5 of those teams are better than IGZ and RC.

Easy FL Bounceback 2-0

Easiest 2-0 for SZ.

Finally, we get to see the fabled Astra-Yoru-Omen comp on Icebox.

For me, I wish BC Swell or Jadeite made it instead of IGZIST.

LETS GO THEY PICKED ICEBOX.

Might finally see that wild Astra-Yoru-Omen comp live.

Banger match

FL 2-1.

They’ve been getting better and better, but SCARZ are no pushovers.

posted about 3 years ago

Credit to where credit is due, Meteor 2.0 is looking really good. A few competitions under his belt and he’ll eventually become the next Jett prospect.

posted about 3 years ago

What an absolutely awful final map.

Keep in mind, FL smacked NTH 13-3 on breeze yesterday.

I seriously don’t get why Sengoku’s forcing double duelist all the time— it’s not like Fisker can’t flex.

posted about 3 years ago

A week ago, I would’ve said Maru without hesitation.

A week later, and i think NS looks really good.

2-1 NS

posted about 3 years ago

Unfortunately, REJECT will continue their struggle. Hopefully they pick Icebox tho.

2-0 CR.
