Even if the best possible solution happens, SEN will be 4-2 and G2 will either be 4-2 or 3-3. SEN would need C9 to bottle the two worst teams right now to qualify. Even losing to both will still mean qualification will be based on map/round difference

Johnqt is a crazy talent, but he was the missing piece for Sen. 100T have only just managed to make the roles work with Eeiu but he was also a tier 1 years before for Sen with Kanpeki. Don’t get me wrong with this current format tier 1 teams look messy so some tier 2 players could also be the missing piece to certain teams, but with replacements it means a good tier 1 player may find their right team

I completely agree there are some talents that would make it into tier 1, but the problem a lot of teams have even with established tier 1 players is making roles work. Look at how much trouble the “super team” Nrg are having. This would stop them making it into tier 1 and even with their experience as a team in tier 2, they would not be able to compete (M80 and OXG could take maps off of some tier 1s but that’s not enough)

Homie zekken has had some weak games lately you can check the matches. And sacy is known to have poor performances even acknowledging his role. I’ll never forget the Split match against Loud where he was basically throwing, yet we still managed to qualify and win masters so

Would’ve agreed with you a year ago but since the guard got promoted they had an awful start and Icy is not good enough. G2 are slowly recovering but there is a much bigger skill gap between tier 1 and 2 then people think. An off day for a tier 1 does not mean the tier 2 is cracked and deserves promotion…
