depends on which course, but in general because AP has more specific courses it also has more difficult courses to choose from. for example, Calc BC has more "advanced" content than that which would be explored in the calculus section of Math AA HL.

the difficulty with the IB comes with having to submit a project-type thing for every subject that accounts for 20-40% of the grade along with other requirements (the extended essay and tok essay).

a big problem with Xerxia currently is losing site duels and failing entries, both of which Pati excelled at. Not taking anything away from Surf though, he's also performed very well at times. He just isn't as experienced.
