They look really good right now, Kingg is super impressive.

it may be because it's square without borders so it's easier to scale to thee max possible size

I trust in the goat Laz

hopefully they're in good form!

nothing changed anyways FNS crashies and victor are still garbage that rely on bad game design to win. they're physically incapable of improving like the rest of NA (except asuna and zekken!)

lmfao copium NRG is going to be the worst team in the 5-8th bracket anyways. Talon 2-0s those frauds without chamber like they did in 2021

posted about a year ago

round 3 is going to be the highest NA places too since their best team NRG ended up being frauds and placed 8th

posted about a year ago

if EMEA is a 2 team region NA is a 0 team region edit:(EMEA is actually a 1 team region)

imagine going from 2nd at champs to 8th at this event 💀

Even a fraud team like Heretics would 26-0 Guard Shopify and M80

He has 2 less kills than the four other players on his team combined. Ridiculous performance this series no matter the outcome

im saving being delusional for the fnatic game

So far, the results of this tournament have already clearly shown that the top NA players of last year were unskilled. Their only saving grace was exploring a broken agent, chamber. Starting with the primary fraud Yay - going from a nearly undisputed number 1 duelist to outside the top 10 in this event. The second-best NA duelist, cryocells also played similar agents in a similar style so naturally, a similar fall from grace should be expected. Other NA players have even chosen to avoid international competition out of fear of being exposed - Marved, the Guard roster, and more. Entire NA teams that revolved around the broken agent (ex Optic) have proven to be significantly worse too. They went from winning masters events to barely scraping an 8th-place finish.

I think it's fair to conclude that NA's achievements in 2022 were an outlier caused by bad game design.

their teamplay is atrocious, it feels like they've just been matched with each other in ranked. However, they still seem to have good macro plays like their fakes and pauses. I think there's still hope for this roster but it's been an extremely disappointing performance so far.

jremy looks great too

more pacific teams should pick up SEA ranked zoomers

my linear algebra teacher kinda sucks ass so im reading a textbook. I didn't expect to find wronksi in the textbook, so I dove into his history! Then I made a post on vlr.gg because I don't want to row reduce 15 matrices by hand!

THEOREM 3 Wronskians of Solutions
Suppose that y1 and y2 are two solutions of the homogeneous second-order linear equation (Eq. (9))
y'' + p(x)y' + q(x)y = 0
on an open interval I on which p and q are continuous.
(a) If y1 and y2 are linearly dependent, then W(y1,y2) = 0
(b) If y1 and y2 are linearly independent, then W(y1, y2) != 0 over I

Thus, given two solutions of Eq. (9), there are just two possibilities: The Wronskian W is identically zero if the solutions are linearly dependent; the Wronskian is never zero if the solutions are linearly independent. The latter fact is what we need to show that y = c1y1 + c2y2 is the general solution of Eq. (9) if y1 and y2 are linearly independent solutions.

As suggested by the equations in (13), the determination of the constants c1and c2 in (12) depends on a certain 2 2 determinant of values of y1, y2, and their derivatives. Given two functions f and g, the Wronskian of f and g is the determinant

W = [ [ f , g ] , [ f ', g ' ] ] = fg - f ' g '

We write either W(f,g) or W(x) depending on whether we wish to emphasize the two functions or the point x at which the Wronskian is to be evaluated. For example, W(cosx, sinx) = 1.

These are examples of linearly independent pairs of solutions of differential equations (see Examples 1 and 2). Note that in both cases the Wronskian is everywhere nonzero. On the other hand, if the functions f and g are linearly dependent, with f = kg:

W(f,g) = 0

Józef Maria Hoene-Wroński was a Polish philosopher, mathematician, physicist, inventor, lawyer, occultist and economist. In 1794 he served in Poland's Kościuszko Uprising as a second lieutenant of artillery, was taken prisoner, and remained until 1797 in the Russian Army. After resigning in the rank of lieutenant colonel in 1798, he studied in the Holy Roman Empire until 1800, when he enlisted in the Polish Legion at Marseille. In 1803, Wroński joined the Marseille Observatory but was forced to leave the observatory after his theories were dismissed as grandiose rubbish.

Although most of his inflated claims were groundless, his mathematical work contains flashes of deep insight and many important intermediary results, the most significant of which was his work on series. The coefficients in Wroński's new series proved important after his death, forming a determinant now known as the Wronskian (the name which Thomas Muir had given them in 1882).

The term Cinderella run isn't derogatory lol. I can't imagine many people expect Talon to win the entire event.

How has having 10 players improved practice (EG)

Yeah, if Zeta is as good as GenG it's going to be super tough for PRX

They still have the same good ideas that turn into uncoordinated chaos when disrupted in any way. I kinda hoped they'd manage to fix that coming into franchising.
