then your original take is even more horrid lmao
would you rather play in ranked and do the same shitty set up thats super basic and intuitive over and over never really learning much or would you rather watch someone who understands the game much better, has way more experience, has spent time developing their utility and playstyle and take notes.
I get that youre a big yay fan and probs only play chamber in gold but other agents are hard to master.
I do agree, all the people i listed are pro/semi pro. When I said streamers I just meant people who stream, ie pros, if i said who are good pros to learn from people would just search up stats and then say the best pro for each agent. Like people who are saying trent to learn sova when all he plays on stream is jett/duelists.
the amount of spam troll / bait polls makes the usefulness of polls very hard to justify. Polls like "Is TenZ a fraud" with "yes" and "yes" the two options over and over will just be so boring to see
i like watching him play but watching him force buy ares over and over is pretty boring to watch ngl
Hiko - how to have a disgusting crosshair and make among us jokes
ive watched some of his youtube content before, also someone called spawns as well is a pretty good educational cypher player
valid, but watching high level players play the agent you want to learn is very helpful for understanding timings, when to use util and how etc.
dont mention averagej*nas by name, youre gonna start another war
What streamers would you recommend to watch if you wanted to learn a new agent?
Some good ones I know:
Sova - DerrekOW
Kayo - FakeAnanas
Cypher/Viper - Nats
Killjoy - silenx
Omen/Brim - s0mcs or bangzerra
Duelist: Tomaszy - Portugal
Sentinel: Monsteerr - East
Controller: Obnoks - Dach
Initiator: Braveaf - Turkey
Flex: Mistic - Polaris
IDK who can IGL but seems like a very solid team
its crazy that if you bottom frag you get hate lmfao, pancada seems like such a good player and a nice guy as well. you Brazilians have to support him no matter what to drown out the freaks that will come for him eventually
I forgot how toxic SEN fans are. 3rd official match playing together, only practised for one week, blaming the IGL for not fragging etc etc. Chill out guys, its the fucking Tarik x Ludwig friendly tournament, at least wait until the franchise league starts before you start calling for Dephhs head.
least insecure c9 fan
I don't think pros are healthier today at all, most are in awful shape. IN THE FUTURE i think people will realise that they need to take care of their body and they will last longer, but now players will be lucky to stay on top for more than 3 years.
nah its defo brave, i remember clearly the first time I watched him on ascent he was ruining people with the guardian
I feel like in the future the age will be much older as people will understand that they need to live a healthy lifestyle and shit as well as grinding to get better. Like have a consistent sleep schedule, work out, eat clean, don't order food, move around in breaks between games to ensure you aren't just sitting down 10 hours a day. I feel like modern day pro's could be so much better and have much longer careers if they just took care of their body a bit more.
I still remember him using the magepunk guardian and just walking around 1 tapping people.
A lot of the EU valorant content scene feels like this, people like grayfps, howtonoodle, flowascending feel so cringe because theyre trying to portray themselves as a good player, when they get most of their "clips" against golds in unrated. averagejonas is probs the most watchable out of all of them as his content like lineup competitions and stuff is pretty good.
1-3-2-2 green
1-4-2-0 white
1-2-2-0 yellow
NGL I watched carpe stream a month or so ago and he looked very uncomfortable, even in ranked. I hope hes had enough time to get up to speed or else this might be a 26-4/5
This map is made for harbor imo, b site he can lock down with one wall, pushing a with cascade is very strong and c with cascades also very strong.
why bother predicting when you can just become a pro and match fix
I would say grind ranked with a duo or solo until you get to asc at least as theres no point scrimming at a lower level. Even at asc level youll still get shit stomped by immo teams playing 5 duelists so theres still not much point. Just have fun with the game while you can and if you get to a level where you can compete, think about it then
the forums and simplicity is what keeps me on vlr. you dont get much structured discord here as most people are just baiters but its still fun. thespike is just dead, i think theres like 5 people who use the forums and most of them are just the really annoying baiters who got banned from here.
nah jonahs played sage jett and others from my memory. I imagine the roles will be very similar to when they had saya, as I can't see tex one tricking chamber anymore but idk about his jett.
well out of valyn (smokes igl), neT (sentinel secondary caller), trent (sova/fade/breach) or jonahP (flex/entry) i think it might be jonahP
Yes they might make money, but they aren't profitable in the slightest. In 2020 TSM was the only org that was profitable, and that was due to the FTX partnership, and we all know how good crypto is doing nowadays. What you need to realise is that for every 1 team member that is paid a salary there is probably 1-2 staff members also being paid a salary, the big orgs have their own facilities, and many more operational costs. The idea is that the revenue may be much lower than the costs right now, but the whole idea is that this is a market that is going to develop exponentially.
All player wages are super inflated as none of them bring in the same value as what they are being paid, thats just a fact. I'm not going to discuss the profitability of esports orgs as I don't run an org, or understand everything that goes into it, and neither does anyone, all I wanted to say was that it would be ironic if they weren't paid the same even though they are preaching for equality and supporting women.
Thats the thing, the male scene and the female scene both do not generate any money, they both run at a net negative with brand deals (youtube) and sponsors (twitch) being the most profitable areas. Since they both run at a negative competitively speaking and only make a profit through content, whats the point in having esports talent at all and not just hiring streamers? Neither of us really understand the metrics and what makes money so its pretty funny that we are discussing this. My point was that for an org who has a female team, to pay the female team less than the mens team, even though the whole point of having a female team is to try and make esports more equal for all genders, is ironic, which it is. Realistically, none of the players should be paid a salary if we are talking about profit, and the org should drop all the competitive players and pick up streamers like xqc, but the whole point of it is that it's an investment. So why not invest equally in both sides if the point is that theyre going to be equal in the future?
who sells more shirts, vanity or mel? once again another metric we cant measure, but if you are a woman looking to buy an esports shirt, are you going to go for fnatic, or are you going to go for c9 or g2. People don't watch womens football because they are worse, its as simple as that. They will never get as good as the men so thats completely different to esports.
And the streaming statistic, c9 mens stream more on average than c9w and the total hours streamed is much higher, but with the g2 team the female side stream way more than the male side ever since mixwell left. Look at c9 valorants youtube channel, most of the content and brand deals are done by the c9w players. Also a side note and not sure if this is relevant or not but if you've ever been in the chat of one of the female players while they were streaming, its surprising that they even go live at all. Constant sexual harassment and weird fucks calling them cute and begging for facecam and shit, its a different environment so hard to compare metrics.
Esports orgs are a business, and they aren't profitable in any way from the esports side of it alone. They're all super inflated because of investors and sponsors, but the players themselves aren't profitable just from competing. The money comes from merch sales and sponsorship deals, not from prize money or tournament results as players keep almost everything they earn from prizes.
So once again, these players are all on the same org, run the same sponsorships, do the same brand deals (in c9s case they do way more than their male counterparts), and prize money doesn't help the org stay profitable, then why shouldn't they be paid the same?
I mean we don't know either way but normally when teams split up the org sticks with the core roster of 2/3 players who aren't splitting up. So I am assuming that the org dropped the 5 and that they're splitting up because of that.
Its also a different situation to that as well. Its not the same as male vs female sports athletes as they are never going to be on the same level due to biological factors, but in esports why shouldnt they be paid the same? The whole point of gamechangers is to provide support to marginalised genders in the gaming community, there aren't any biological differences, so why do all the top teams only have male players? It's because the female players aren't as good as their male counter parts in most cases. This isn't due to biological factors, its due to societal norms and the gaming communities view on women playing games which will change over time. So paying the women less just supports the issue in the first place. Theres a reason why C9 dropped C9W after picking up a whole new roster, if they weren't being paid much at all its just a free good press machine, whats the need in dropping them?
I'd imagine/hope their salaries would be the same as their male counterparts. Otherwise would be insanely ironic/ a bad look for these orgs who want to support the female scene.
Im in the same position as you currently, year out of uni and working a full time job while living with my parents. I pay £250 a month to my parents in rent which is very cheap (and they are keeping it to give back to me when I go back to uni) and with the rest I've upgraded my pc and bought driving lessons. I'm currently saving the rest up, but if you feel the need to spend it I'd say try and get into some new hobbies while you have the time and money. Things like golf, art, keyboard building, cycling etc that require an initial investment to get into are possible at the moment.
its honestly unreal how well it was adapted, as a big fan of the manga im so happy with how it turned out. Defo read it or watch it!!
