end of the year is when all teams can be good. in 2023, kru (0-9) went on miracle lcq run. this year, furia (0-7 previously) beat loud and 100t (both with champions winning igls and top players otherwise such as less and cryo)
however earlier in the year, it just matters which teams built the best synergy in the off season
loud came in with only one change, sen grinded out the off season, geng probably did as well, prx had one change, and these were inevitably the top 4 teams in madrid (notice the rookie teams in kc, th couldn't find a win, and only edg from cn managed to secure a win)
tl;dr, many teams are good by the time champs rolls around, while at a tournament like madrid, only a few teams are good
