if NA had bo2 chumbucket would definitely not have been 0-4, its a perfect example of why we choose bo2 for the group stage

EMEA is the only VCC region that does best of 2 games for group stage (APAC, OCE, NA all do bo1), its just to have more accurate results since a best-of-1 isnt very competitively viable

instead of the qualifying criteria being Win-Loss it's Win-Draw-Loss - its just proven to be better for more accurate playoffs seeding

APAC Season 4 will be launching next week, just figuring out the final pieces of the puzzle as we speak :) we just had the last person needed for launch sign up today

🎉 The registration for the fifth season of VLR Community Cup just opened for EMEA!

• No rank restrictions, we want to create an opportunity for people of ALL RANKS to experience a tournament environment!
• You can register as a solo, in a duo or in a trio. After registration closes, players will be matched together, creating balanced teams.
• After a best-of-2 single round robin group stage, the best teams qualify to a best-of-3 double elimination bracket. Typically one match per week.
• All matches are played on Frankfurt, unless both teams agree to a different server.
• We strive for all matches are streamed, observed and casted.

Registrations are OPEN now, and registration will close when we have an appropriate amount of registrants. Season is estimated to launch August 18th and finish in mid-late October.

Matches are scheduled around everyone's personal availability monitored through weekly forms. You will never be forced into playing a match that you marked as busy.

hey everyone!

Weekly schedule (July 21-25) is now released for all active regions, come sign up!

a long while ago I made a thread on here prompting people if they've ever wanted to give casting a shot, and we had a large influx of 30-40 people sign up to help out with production for the VLR Community Cup tournament. recently, the tournament has grown a lot, and as a result - we are once again looking for anyone who wants to try:
🎙️ Casting - for anyone who wants to try giving live commentary, either play by play or color casting.
🎥 Observing - for anyone who wants to try being an observer in a streamed tournament environment
🎬 Streaming - for anyone who wants to help out streaming our matches, typically paired with being an observer but not always necessary

remember, ANYONE can sign up for this. regardless if you have ZERO experience, and you shouldn't feel any performance pressure, as long as you have fun that's all that matters :)

this is all voluntary, the tournament is completely non-profit and open for anyone of any rank who wants to try a tournament environment. the timing of this thread is great, as our biggest season ever will launch this weekend, with our NA season featuring 18 TEAMS. anyone is able to claim production slots on any match from any region, and we will provide all information and accounts needed. we host tournaments in APAC, EMEA, OCE and NA.
