The current 16 slots at champs are filled in fairly if you look objectively, only for 2 teams you could argue they deserved to be here

KC (only instead of VIT) this came down to 1 match in playoffs, KC was better the first half of the season and VIT in the second. In my opinion VIT is still the fair qualifier given their recent form.

Problem with KC is that they’ve shown no growth. They started as arguably the best team in EMEA but after a while other teams surpassed them. If you keep tomaszy Sh1n and marteen, a new IGL won’t magically see these players grow individually.

Group D is incredibly competitive aswell, difference there is that 3/4 teams are known to choke or underperform on the big stage

Maybe their form has declined recently, but they’re still the best performing EMEA team this season grouped with the best APAC and arguably the best CN team. Swap TH for any of the other EMEA teams and they’d dominate their group

GENG, TH and FPX all deserve to go through and would all get top2 in any other group. It’s a waste that one of these teams is going home early while VIT or TLN is gonna move on
