yeah but emea is like a superregion joining eu, cis, turkey, middle east and africa.
When they say that they're probably considering the situation if those regions weren't joined, as it's the case in csgo for example

edit: guys I know people have been saying this for a long time, but it's no coincidence that after na and emea start to lose suddenly there are 50 threads about it here
my counterpoint https://www.vlr.gg/89986/skill-ceiling-allegations
my thread kinda justifies that man https://www.vlr.gg/89986/skill-ceiling-allegations
didn't watch cause I like capybaras
loud and zeta beat liquid 2-1, so they're a little better than liquid right now.
liquid barely beat xerxia, so they're around the same level.
xerxia 2-0 optic, so liquid is way better than optic.
optic 2-0 xerxia, so liquid is way better than liquid.
therefore, zeta would probably sweep zeta.
...
ah that's true, that doesn't fall into the contradiction directly.
but what seems to be the case is that while cs is all about perfecting the fundamentals, valorant is about adaptability and creativity, teams can't depend on metas to be good. Now if that is a good thing or not it's up to you.
now that many upsets from "minor regions" happened, people are trying to justify it saying valorant has reached a skill ceiling. What I find interesting is that this argument is only used to talk about skill in terms of mechanics. But weren't "minor regions" criticized for being "all aim no brain" all along? So if they have catch up, it shouldn't be about aim, but about strats. But this narrative is being constructed that if valorant had a higher skill ceiling that wouldn't happen, which implies major regions are better just because of aim. It sounds very contradictory.
What actually is the case is that valorant have a lower skill ceiling in cs mechanics like spraying, but it compensates with a shit ton of stuff, from raze and jett movement to utilities setups and a shit ton of variables that makes the possible tactics so complex that the ceiling might actually be unreachable.
