Is this it? IS THIS IT?!

posted about a year ago

Absolutely. RRQ has been a big surprise this season. I really hope they will make it to Tokyo if TS won't be able to qualify. Viva RRQ!

posted about a year ago

If you think about it, the possibility of Team Secret beating the next two teams this coming super week are super low, but not impossible.

NO FUCKING WAY RRQ TOOK A FUCKING MAP OFF DRX 😳

HOLY FUCK GLOBAL WHAT IS THIS MATCH 😱 QUACK IS AN ACTUALLY GOATED PREDICTOR 🫡

posted about a year ago

Well, it was a 2-1. Can't believe it, Dep, Sugarz3ro, AND Laz woke the fuck up this match. But compared to TS' recent losses, this definitely wasn't a fluke from them. They had some great performances in Split and Fracture, especially in the latter where they got to tie it 9-9. But GG Zeta, you guys were the better team 👏

TLN 1 - 2 PRX
Good on Talon for finding their footing again, but I'm still going to go with Paper Rex on this one. Historically, they haven't won against Paper Rex last year, and I'd say they haven't changed in any notable ways that could counter Paper Rex. But hey, Team Secret did win against Paper Rex, so who knows? Talon might just prove me wrong once again.

RRQ 0 - 2 DRX
I really want RRQ to win this, but there is a reason DRX haven't lost a single game yet, and the team doesn't have the skill and experience to really change that.

posted about a year ago

Clean sweepable, sure, but I'd imagine one round will go into overtime, and TS' round histories have had no overtimes, as far as I know of (if you know of any, do feel free to leave it down below), so it would be unlikely TS sweeps ZETA.

T1 2 - 0 DFM
T1 isn't as bad as DFM. This will probably be an easy sweep for T1. DFM should really consider doing a roster or coaching change after this season.

LET'S FUCKING GO TALON WOOOOOOOOOOO (this was worth getting banned in twitch chat for trashtalking)

posted about a year ago

No doubt they're the best in the PH, but in the Pacific region and internationally they do fumble at times. I'm hoping invy and lenne, along with Warbirds, bring consistency and stability to the team. Lenne was good with Bleed, but I'd really like to see how he performs with Team Secret.

posted about a year ago

Bro this Haven is fucking hilarious 😂

posted about a year ago

Damn, TS lost to this?

posted about a year ago

I wouldn't say mid, but they're inconsistent.
Dubstep's a good player at times, but he is definitely affected whenever the team isn't getting any wins.
Borkum is great at clutch moments, but clutches don't win games.
JessieVash is the better out of all three veterans, but he still has his shortcomings.
Jremy and Invy are what TS needs and have been setting them up for success in their past wins.
In summary, BRING THAT MOTHERFUCKER LENNE ON THE STAGE WARBIRDS SHOW ME WHAT HE'S GOT OH YEAHHHHHHH #LetLenneLead

This is what people said when they played against Gen.G. And RRQ.
Not saying it's a curse, but at this point I don't want to take any chances.

posted about a year ago

I know how the whole pick-ban works, but there always is a possibility that RRQ could be feeling confident and try to ban another map that T1 might be good in. It's just a hypothetical situation.

posted about a year ago

T1 might actually take advantage of that and go for the Lotus pick, considering RRQ's performance. So it's just a matter of preparation and fixing what didn't work.

ZETA 2 - 1 TLN
As much as I want Talon to win this, Zeta just looked super good these past few weeks that they will ultimately get the win. But I would be super delighted if Talon are able to get their first win here.

T1 1 - 2 RRQ
I am now a firm RRQ believer. Ejay my goat, fl1pzjder my egg, xferro my man.
But in all seriousness, if RRQ can maintain the same discipline and agression they showed against TS, this should be a solid win for them, but T1 definitely won't go down without a fight.

posted about a year ago

GEN 1 - 2 DRX
DRX are still the best team in this league, but if any team will be able to give them their first map loss, it's probably going to be Gen.G.

posted about a year ago

PRX 1 - 2 GE
This is a tough one to predict. Even as Paper Rex look unorganized and a bit messy, their raw firepower do give them an edge at times. Global Esports, with Monyet and Texture though, are such good players for the team that they have what it takes to get the win.

posted about a year ago

Nice to see Lightningfast and SkRossi performing well in their debuts, but there's really nothing you can do about the trashtalkers. Bit sad.

Holy shit, something looked really bad this game. Paper Rex should definitely drop him, he looks like dead weight to the team. They should definitely go back to their old comp, they still seem like the top team in the Pacific

Mandatory note that this is sarcastic and a joke.

Damn, I wish I wasn't so good at predicting things the first time 💀

posted about a year ago

I was expecting Haven to be their weakest map, but man, I didn't expect them to fumble Fracture. Don't get me wrong, it is still one of their best maps, but they definitely need to start thinking of counterstrats, considering they have played this map for quite a bit.

posted about a year ago

Holy fuck dude, they need to ban Split and work on Pearl. This was just embarassing.

GES 2 - TLN 1
Can't believe I'm saying this, but Global Esports looks like the better team here. I would've predicted Talon if this would've been the first match of the season, but GE's current roster (excluding SkRossi and LightningFast) are looking really good that Talon needs to change something in their strategy.

posted about a year ago

ZETA 1 - 2 DFM
I'm going to choose DFM because I do think they can pull off some heroic plays when it matters, but this will be a pretty close fight nonetheless. Wouldn't be surprised if ZETA wins this, so make of that what you will.

posted about a year ago

T1 1 - 2 GEN
These teams are probably familiar with their strategies and playstyles, so I'm expecting this one to be a pretty close game. However, I do think Gen.G looks to be the better team between the two.

posted about a year ago

PRX 0 - 2 DRX
Adding something to Paper Rex should be interesting, seeing how alecks can implement him into the roster. Their Pearl performance was great, but DRX and Foxy9 have been performing so well I'm finding it hard to see them take a map off DRX.

posted about a year ago

Bro what the fuck

posted about a year ago

TLN 0 - 2 DRX
DRX winning this was always going to be a given. What's changed for me, seeing these recent games, is the shakiness of Talon if they choose to let Patiphan join these games. I appreciate the willingness to experiment, but they need to get some wins on the board.

posted about a year ago

ZETA 0 - 2 GE
Global Esports just looks like the better team here.

posted about a year ago

T1 2 - 1 PRX
T1 has been looking really good these past few games, and there is an absolutely real possibility of Paper Rex getting their second loss against this team.

posted about a year ago

RRQ 1 - 2 DFM
Detonation is probably on the same level with Zeta, and considering the past results, I'm not expecting much from RRQ besides a map win.

posted about a year ago

I welcome all to the Team Secret fanclub, where the highs are as great as the lows. 🥹

posted about a year ago

Wow, after this match, I think there are two things to reconsider:

  1. Is Talon starting to look shaky? A win from T1 isn't what I'm surprised about, it's that they weren't able to take a single map off T1. It's going to be interesting to see T1's path in the coming weeks.
  2. If MIBR and EG lost to this, I'm not so sure they'll be able to stand up against the best of the Americas.
posted about a year ago

Nah, it's a lot more than that. While the original X10 breaking up and reforming into Xerxia did play a part, it's more of them picking up Jinggg and f0rsaken, plus having a really agressive playstyle that got them into the grand finals last Masters Copenhagen. Now though, the meta is shifting (Chamber nerfs, teams forming comps that can counter theirs, tons of their VODs for teams to analyze) and PRX just hasn't done enough to keep them on top. It's going to be a bit before something can adjust to his role as the new player, and for alecks to try and figure out new comps and player mixtures that go well together.

posted about a year ago

Just wanted to show the RRQ supporters some love, since people loved to shit on the roster. But holy fuck, this game was frustrating to watch. RRQ needs to get their shit together, this is embarrassing from a partnered team.

posted about a year ago

Gen.G will most likely win this, and I can't really defend my decision logically for picking RRQ since I have not seen their match, but my prediction is based solely on three things:

  1. Bias. RRQ has Filipinos, and you bet your ass I'm supporting my countrymen.
  2. Past performance. Not at all a solid metric for determining future performance, but hey, it works sometimes.
  3. Engagement. I crave the engagement. Slather it all over my body. W or Ls, I want it.

So yeah, anyways, good luck to the best team!

posted about a year ago

Yeah, so anyways, I take a lot of Ls, but it feels nice to get a W once in a while. 😄
