If you only have one match then teams will prep differently than if there were another, the second match is not the same as the first and it doesn’t remove luck if there’s another match, at least not necessarily

The lower bracket is not made to decide the winner more accurately. You can ask anyone who works in riot, that’s how I came to this opinion

Lower bracket is still good and necessary for this game, but there are multiple reasons that come before finding the true winner, because that’s not what a lower bracket does

This is dumb. A double elim bracket is not to eliminate luck. At least not for the eventual winner

trying to diminish the efforts of the winner of a single elim event is straight up stupid

Brazil haven’t been lucky a lot they just won a lot
And if these teams were lucky or benefited from the format, then so did the winner of double elimination brackets in any other competition

Double elim format is more for the prize pool and to get more games in rather than to eliminate luck. In a game like valorant where there are Strats to be anti’d throwing in more losers brackets doesn’t necessarily eliminate luck

It’s for prize pool in the sense that a team can be eliminated by the best team in quarters and get 10k for it but they are actually the second best team itw and would have got 50k with a different draw. A double elimination bracket only removes luck for the teams that don’t win
