I just think performing at the ultimate events at the highest stakes is so much more important than what GENG accomplished beforehand, its like in sports u call the number 1 seed the best team in the year but losing their playoff run instantly. Shanghai was very competitive arguably more than madrid, just because GENG peaked and looked insane doesnt mean it wasnt a hard tourney to win. The idea behind my argument is just champs is too important to look away being grouped.
yeah but not making it to masters is not as disappointing as bombing out of champs. i think people should start to regard champs as a much more prestigious tournament. Everything you do is for champs, GenG didnt perform when it mattered most.
LEV definitely has chem, tex and aspas super good friends and Kingg mazino and c0m all look like great friends. Also their in game chemistry is most of what got them their wins agains VIT G2 and Heretics on icebox
Sen sorry but even though sen had a bad split 1 geng not being able to get out of groups in the most important event of the year is fucked and IMO just gives Sen more of an argument. Not to mention GenG had everything going for them number 1 seed, unreal confidence and home crowd, to me sen's dissapointment to new life is a much more hopeful and theoretically better year than good until it matters most.
most of the defaults and set plays that the teams use now were from DZ(TT's) iteration and not NIP

g2 is arguably the best team in americas and 100t is having a resurgeance off the back of great attack side calling and good performances. i doubt 100t is gonna look good enough to beat g2 right now.

masters 1 should be less impressive than masters 2; 8 team event with a shorter qualification span allows flukes or teams without actual long standing skill to be better. (KC was able to make masters off really good set plays and comps) also the better teams aren't necessarily the teams that have outstanding play but rather teams that have gotten a stable base on the game before others. (NRG wasn't good but was able to pull through fine in kickoff due to being a team that already had chemistry between 2 groups of players.) Even a team like sentinels wasn't necessarily better at the time than any 2023 champs contender as much as they just had so many reps in and was simply ahead of other teams. The rule normally is either more teams = more prestigious (except for lock-in which had no qualification process) or later in the season = more prestigious
way more money, more teams way more valuable.

so its completely fair that a player comes in and plays the most important match of the season for the non-performing player when secret has to prepare for their match with their old footage? as for theres inherent "risk" there really isnt, when you're a team that barely squeaked in at 6th into playoffs then you have nothing to lose. In what universe is primmie to blame if they lose the match? none. Yes its always good to get new players and promote scene development but allowing such a move at the end of a season completely compromises competitive integrity.
Theres obviously a risk/reward factor to it but as the 6th seed they had nothing to lose, literally sign a new player he drops 50 and no one lese in the series goes positive and they win off that. This is a regulated league not some silly 5k pool tournament.
I think what he is saying is true, a player not riding the bench just getting signed and playing Talon's and Secret's most important game of the season is insane. I thought the transfer window last year was supposed to impede that, this year they decided to forgo the transfer window completely for some reason and allows teams to find last minute bandage solutions. Y'all are complaining he said because his claim has merit or because he is C0M's dad?
