The sad thing about it is that TOs and Riot/activision are trying... There is always australian representation, it's sad that there isn't any funding, and it's evident since Order had it's hands on all major esports and they were thriving in the Apac region.

With the current VCT system we actually have to wait to see Korean teams play APAC/JP teams, or NA teams to play Brazil/LATAM teams. With the system implied here we would watch that every week. The only new thing we would see in the international stage are 3 matchups, Americas vs EU vs Asia, not as exciting.

Well. As this is great news for the tier2 scene, they could've done it a little better. Instead of increasing the teams... Increase the Leagues! Diversity is the number one thing leading this esport. If you bunch all the leagues together you get a lot of teams that have already played each other playing each other once they reach the international Event.
