Disagreements exist in every field, even within science. That doesn't mean we should stop seeking understanding or clarity. Respectful discourse is how we learn and grow, whether in evolutionary biology, religion, or defining a woman.

That's true. The purpose can be fluid depending on use, but the design intent is key. A chair is designed for sitting, a table for placing items. That you can sit on a table or place items on a chair doesn't negate their initial design and intended purpose.

Clarification aids in understanding, but it doesn't prevent anyone from living their lives as they choose. Everyone absolutely deserves freedom and respect, including the freedom to understand basic biology.

A table, by definition, is meant for placing items on, while a chair is designed for sitting. Just as we distinguish between tables and chairs based on their function and design, we can distinguish men and women based on biology and reproductive functions.

Social constructs and presentation don't invalidate the biological definition of a woman. It's not forcing, it's clarifying.

A chair? A piece of furniture typically having four legs and a back for one person to sit on.

Leave one who insults you and ignore him. It will please the Merciful, displease Satan, and punish your insulter. No punishment for the fool is like refusing to answer him.” - Ali ibn Abi Talib (RA)

i want to mention something very profound in the Quran that could relate:

“Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity.” - chapter 2:286

"And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad)." chapter 53:29

Your message was very touching, and you've given some valuable advice. As a as a Muslim, I'd like to add some reflections from an Islamic perspective.

In the Quran, Allah SWT reminds us in Surah Al-Asr (103:1-3), "By time, Indeed, mankind is in loss, Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience."

So, in Islam, we're encouraged to improve ourselves not only in worldly matters but also in our faith and moral character. Whether we are learning a new skill, exercising, or being productive in our work, we should also aim to enhance our understanding of our Deen (religion), practice good manners (akhlaq), and increase our service to others (khidma).

You mentioned finding happiness in achievements, and this rings true in Islam as well. The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, "The best of people are those that bring most benefit to the rest of mankind" . So, our achievements should also aim at benefiting others and serving our communities.

On the subject of loneliness and feelings of isolation, it's very kind of you to offer a listening ear. I echo your sentiments and also encourage those feeling this way to reach out to others for support. Remember that in our faith, we are never truly alone. Allah SWT says in the Quran in (2:186), "And when My servants ask you concerning Me, indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me..."

Your message reminded me of another hadith, The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:
"Take advantage of five before five:
your youth before your old age,
your health before your illness,
your riches before your poverty,
your free time before your work,
and your life before your death.”

This Hadith beautifully encapsulates the spirit of what you've said, brother. Just as you've pointed out, it's crucial to make use of our time and capabilities while we can.

Our youth is a time of energy and potential. We should harness this to not just learn and improve ourselves, but to contribute positively to the world around us. Health is a blessing that enables us to be productive, and wealth allows us to invest in beneficial ventures. Free time should be used to achieve beneficial goals and to grow as individuals, while remembering that life is a transient phase, a journey towards our final abode.

"Woman, Race, & Class" is a seminal work by Angela Davis, an influential scholar, activist, and author. Published in 1981, the book is a critical examination of the women's movement in the United States, with a specific focus on the intersections of gender, race, and class. Davis critiques the mainstream feminist movement for its failure to address the specific needs and experiences of women of color and working-class women.

Here are a few key points from the book:

Intersectionality: One of the central themes of Davis's book is the idea of intersectionality, which considers how different forms of oppression—like sexism, racism, and classism—overlap and interact with each other. Davis argues that mainstream feminism, which was largely led by white, middle-class women, often failed to take into account the unique challenges faced by women who were also marginalized by race or class.

History of Women's Rights Movement: Davis gives a historical account of the women's rights movement, noting that racial divisions were present from the start. For example, she discusses how early suffragettes sometimes used racist rhetoric and ignored the needs of Black women in their pursuit of voting rights for women.

Abolitionism and Feminism: Davis also delves into the relationship between the abolitionist movement and the early feminist movement in the United States. She talks about how Black women like Sojourner Truth played critical roles in both movements.

Labor Movement and Feminism: The book looks at the role of working-class women in the labor movement and critiques mainstream feminism for not adequately addressing issues of economic justice.

Reproductive Rights: Davis provides a critique of the mainstream women's movement's approach to reproductive rights, arguing that it has often been racially insensitive. She discusses how issues like forced sterilization have disproportionately affected women of color.

In sum, "Woman, Race, & Class" offers a comprehensive critique of the mainstream women's movement from a perspective that takes into account racial and economic justice. Angela Davis calls for a more inclusive and intersectional feminism that represents all women.
