Hey beaver man, it's just my personal opinion, and the fact that he was one of the main reasons I stuck around with TL for so long alone should give him 3 points.

posted 9 months ago

Well, I'm sorry if I made myself appear pompous, as that was not my intention and I most certainly do not see my opinions as more important than others. I was simply answering the question, which was "How would you rate Demon1 from 1-10". I just rated him how I rate every other player, and I do believe I stated quite frankly that I believe "his aim is unrivaled". Therefore you could probably extrapolate that if based on skill alone I'd easily rate Demon1 a 10/10, and I apologize if I didn't make it clear. Demon1 is an amazing player skillwise and I don't mean to undercredit him in anyway.

Also, I don't believe I ever requested to copulate with you, and it saddens me to see you interpret my words that way.
Cheers cartixuzi, I enjoy talking to you a bit more than you may think.

You? I don't know. I just spawn in with 3-4 downfrags because people have beef with me I guess.

Factual!

FUT is part of EMEA, so FUT win = EMEA win.

I'm sorry, but I don't think I did anything to warrant your aggression. I've stated very clearly, that my ratings and rankings are my opinions and my opinions alone. I'm not saying that a player rated 10/10 will beat a player rated 7/10 or even 5/10.

For example, Demon1 clears everyone on that list in a 1v1 or heck even a 1v2. It's just that my personal ethics, morals, and beliefs and preferences regarding what makes a "good" player are reflected in my ratings (if you want me to explain what they are, I'd be glad to.)

However, one thing I must point out is this statement of yours.
"You either do not watch the game, or you don't understand what you're seeing."
I really do not appreciate this statement, as it is quite subjective and frankly untrue. I have spent quite a long time following Valorant Esports, and I'm almost certain that I do indeed watch pro Valorant matches, and in my opinion, I do indeed understand what happens in each and every round. Contrary to your belief, of course.

I apologize for your misunderstanding on your behalf, and I will make sure to be more clear in the future.
If there's anything you want me to elaborate on, I'll do so happily.
Happy January!

demon1 is the best player we've ever seen by a large margin -> demon1 is the best player we've ever seen skill-wise

Personally I think there are some character traits he could work on.

posted 9 months ago

I thank you for respecting my opinion. That list I put up was indeed highly biased and it isn't intended to be serious at all. I just don't rate players completely off of skill and performances like others might. I'm sorry if I really did break your heart. If there is any way I can fix it, feel free to make some suggestions and I will see what I can do. <3

posted 9 months ago

I understand that you may find many issues with the way I rate players, and I'm okay with that, because ultimately it is a personalized and biased list. I simply expressed my own preferences, and I don't think you need to go as far as to question my VCT experiences.

posted 9 months ago

Yeah, I can get that. I rate some players specially. For example, when it comes to IGLs, I focus less on their skill, and more on their ability to lead and make good calls/decisions. BerLIN is quite well known for cooking up FPX's fun strategies and since they're always so chaotic and entertaining to watch, I tend to rate BerLIN quite high.

posted 9 months ago

I consider a plethora of factors when rating players, ranging from . These are some of the players I rate highly off the top of my head:

Boaster: 10/10
Saadhak: 10/10
Less: 10/10
Chronicle: 9/10
stax: 9/10
autumn: 9/10
Jamppi: 9/10
CHICHOO: 9/10
something: 9/10
ANGE1: 8/10
FiNESSE: 8/10
Smoggy: 8/10
BerLIN: 8/10
c0m: 8/10
etc

Now that I really think about it, a 7/10 for Demon1 might be too low. However, I can't see myself rating him higher than an 8 any time soon.

posted 9 months ago

Underrated gem of a team imo.

posted 9 months ago

His aim is possibly unrivaled. 7/10 overall imo.

posted 9 months ago

I'm not saying that they will. They have a strong team and some of the best players in the world. On paper, they should be dominating the league at least 8-2.

posted 9 months ago

Well, it's just an opinionated lineup. I'm not an avid follower of Americas, and I know that KRU went 0-9 in the regular season last year. I understand the silliness of it but I think it could happen.

posted 9 months ago

Sorted by seed (feel free to disagree and engage in discussion if you want!)

Americas:
Leviatan
LOUD
KRU/Sentinels
NRG

EMEA:
Fnatic
FUT Esports
Natus Vincere
Team Liquid/Team Vitality

APAC (I'm not sure about this one):
Paper Rex
T1
DRX
Rex Regum Qeon/Bleed Esports

CN:
EDG
JDG
FPX
TE/BLG

I do agree that there's frequent miscommunications or just straight up lack of communication from the Esport team. Personally, I like to give Leo BoD, because the level of difficulty to run a global scene is quite high. I do think there should be more communication between Leo and the community, and the lack of implementation of features/systems from the community should bee explained.

posted 9 months ago

I think it'd be pretty funny if NRG fails to impress.

posted 9 months ago

It's cool!

posted 9 months ago

Possibly, but then again, Brazil is quite the ways from China.

posted 9 months ago

No clue. I'd like to talk to them though because it definitely takes a fair amount of commitment/determination to downvote everything I say. Such loyal friends should never be ignored, and it saddens me how shy they are.

posted 9 months ago

That's fair as well. Abo is a veteran in the scene and he's also one of the better players on the TEC roster.

posted 9 months ago

Then that's their issue. Nationality is taken into account when discussing a person much more than their ethnicity imo. If they don't understand that then that's just a skill issue at that point.

posted 9 months ago

I don't think Potatobrawler8 or anyone here is disagreeing with that.

posted 9 months ago

Yeah, tbf it took me a couple seconds to recall TEC as part of the 11. My tip is to think: "I wonder where rb is nowadays." That's what I do to remember that TEC is a thing. Sorry if it's unclear haha.

Go get 'em! You're doing great managing such a difficult operation.

My word is that a strange thing to believe in. Scientifically speaking, there shouldn't be any genes in Europeans that allow them to be better at video games than say, people from the United States of America or Fiji. If you believe in this stuff then you may or may not be seriously undereducated on certain topics that you might want to understand fully if you want to be a well-functioning member of humanity.
Racism and stereotypes should never be encouraged in any situation (aside from making assumptions when reasonable).

posted 9 months ago

And I agree! The Russian heritage has no connection to being good at video games. It makes zero sense.

posted 9 months ago

One of my favorites involves a main character dabbling in the oldest profession.

posted 9 months ago

Na1my never said anything about Demon1 getting good by playing in Russia though... As far as my interpretation goes (it might be wrong), it seems to me that they are just pointing out the fact that there are a lot of great players with Russian heritage.

posted 9 months ago

Factual!

posted 9 months ago

But he still has roots in Russia.

posted 9 months ago

You're right. Suygetsu is so good but honestly I always forget that he's also Russian.

posted 9 months ago

That's actually not an unreasonable assumption considering the history of Macau.

posted 9 months ago

In my opinion, it's an amazing phenomena and it's very cool to see Russian players pop off all the time (ex. vo0kashu, Chronicle, nAts, b1sk, trexx, etc)

posted 9 months ago

If that's true then he kind of sucks, but I'd like to give Finesse benefit of the doubt.

posted 9 months ago

It could happen! Only time can tell.

posted 9 months ago

I know:
EDG
JDG
BLG
FPX
AG
NOVA
WOL
TE
DRG
TYLOO
TEC

and some other CN orgs that may or may not be defunct by now.

posted 9 months ago

Well Poge, I have thought about your question quite the bit. Personally I think it depends on the situation and drink.

If water:
I'm generally okay if it's wet on the outside of the glass/mug/cup/container, but this only applies when I'm having normal still water. I would never purposely waste non-normal still water. Additionally, the same goes for sparkling water. I wouldn't purposely waste sparkling water.

If not water:
I'm not okay with having non-water beverages on the outside of the glass. Most get sticky and is generally unpleasant to deal with.

If cold outside/inside: no
If hot outside/inside: yes

Classic Wolverhampton Wanderers thinking. Getting more squad depth is indeed an important thing.

posted 9 months ago

Well, if you were offended by it in any way, I do apologize.

posted 9 months ago

I don't think so. I didn't think it was very funny when I wrote it. It was only after I re-read it after I submitted it when I found out the vulgar implications it may lead one to believe in.

posted 9 months ago

I didn't realize when I was writing it.

posted 9 months ago

I would never. It's just a poorly made generalization made by me because a lot of my woman friends like hot dogs when they're available on the school lunch menu :)

posted 9 months ago

I'm sorry, I made quite the inappropriate joke. It's been a long week.

posted 9 months ago

I think it depends. If you like hotdogs, then you're probably bound to do better in a hot dog competition. Additionally, if you're more hungry than the opposition, you might subconciously feel inclined to eat faster.

Edit: Just a personal opinion, but I think GameChanger teams would do better than the international teams. -> I think it depends. posted 9 months ago

Among many other reasons why that just wouldn't work, one main reason why they would never do that is because it simply isn't financially viable for either parties to do something like that.
