I can't imagine what the guys at Vitality are feeling right now. Someone they spent a lot of time with is no longer with us and it will take time to get things back to normal. And even if at some point things get a little like they were before, it will probably never be the same again. It will take a while until they can go back to training and imagine having to replace someone you have come to love with someone new and then having to play the LCQ with them (Very fucked up situation for everyone involved). I don't think you can put any expectations on Vitality, they will do their best but I guess you can assume that the team and the individual players won't perform like before (which is ok and understandable).

Yes they make it work. I was just giving reasons as to why Reyna is generally bad (I didn’t watch a lot of the game). I guess she’s like yoru, you have to play around her and put a lot of work into preparation to use her to full extent.
Reynas abilities (besides the eye, wich is most of the time just a bad flash) are only usable after you get a kill. Usually it is the other way around, the utility sets up the kill. So you can only play Reyna if you have a aim demon like something, who wins most of his fights and can just dry peek to kill you. This works against teams that aren’t prepared enough against this playstyle or have bad utility usage, but this Reyna comp can crumble really fast. Also you don’t have movement utility as Reyna, so you can’t play elevated positions or do other stuff, wich can (but I don’t think this is the case when prx plays her) make her predictable.

I think they also use the 10-man roster to practice certain aspects of the game like pistols and retakes. It's hard to organize scrims like this against random teams because they may want to practice other things or just do normal scrims. This way they can focus on their weaknesses and the 5 players who are not in the active squad don't need good practice, they are just there to exercise with the main team.
A relegation system makes no sense in a franchising league. It does not correspond to the purpose of franchising and would simply make it an open league again(Like it was before). Orgs have contracts and can rely on playing in the highest league (better contracts with sponsors etc.) which is among other things the purpose of franchising. In my opinion Riot has solved the problem the best way possible, because no team is relegated when another team is moving up from vcl to vct.
You don't have to look far, there are plenty of talented players in Tier 2, but franchise teams prefer to recycle the same old wankers six times over

Its not a waste. If teams aren't willing to sign a sixth player, they have to deal with the resulting problems themselves. Especially in esports and other sports where anything can go wrong, you need a plan B.
They have had a decent showing in a lot of tournaments and do very well in scrims. They just fell off a bit lately and will come back to their better form

There are two independent splits for each challengers league.
In most challengers leagues these splits reward the best teams with points (higher placing in split = more points).
The overall winner of the two splits (most points) qualifies for ascension.
