its not a merger each org is still separate they are just combined for valorant, so its still two separate entities
If they win ascension what org gets the slot, or do you think Riot would allow them to stay as two orgs in one slot. Worried we get to next year and have another Guard fk up situation where Riot says they have to split and both orgs want to be THE tier 1 team
thats because EG doesn't know how to manage and make profits off their roster, they won champs and the only thing they put out that would "make them money" is a shitty t-shirt
if they were a half competent org they would've been able to make a decent amount just off their player's and orgs new popularity after champs
the only thing is EG was already a "budget" team getting paid a lot less than other NA teams so having one of the already cheapest teams get cheaper feels weird

even thought the whole "oh this will let other orgs buy ascension slot" is so braindead i won't even touch on that, just have riot pay them and let them play as free agents if you are so scared of setting this "terrible precedant," its not that hard
If they are so worried about this setting a precedent for buying slots later (which is so logically unsound I won't bother convincing you its not the case) why doesnt riot just sign the team to its own Riot owned slot.
Instead of giving a 500k a year stipend to an org, just have The Guard players compete under a Riot owned slot and receive the money directly from riot (+ all the benefits such as champions money, skins, etc.) so you don't have to say "oh another org is buying the slot" there are so many ways to solve this problem and acting like Riot can't is criminal. Open up the Riot wallet, let them compete as F/As for the next 2 seasons under a Riot owned guest slot.
i think a good nerf would be to lower the reaction time of the turret, right now it shoots the second it sees someone, if it took half a second to shoot, it would allow someone to get behind cover denying the info or find a timing

Split was kinda a stomp but otherwise that series was the most entertaining one we've ever seen.
