yeah i have no idea why people are downfragging you LMAO
indians are cracked at chess bro theres like 4 young indian prodigies already
anand fell off and a whole ass squad came to replace him in the super gm territory
some of the shit their ceo has done with some of their other teams has been extremely scummy
this person's abject refusal to read words is kind of mindblowing
demon1 over derke and jawg should probably be a couple places higher imo
it is time to revisit demon1, ethan, and jawgemo's placement.
yeah 100% he's the most replaceable on the team
like there just arent people available right now that can fill demon1's shoes on jett, or ethan's as a support, or jawg's raze, or boosti's igl(at least an igl that has the fragging ability that he does)
flex players like com are a lot easier to come by tbh
despite that he still has consistently huge impact both individually and for his team, and he's just as good as the rest of them
the role that he plays is just the most populated among players on the market rn
what more does bro have to do dude could 1v5 prx every round and win grands all on his own and people would still find a way to underrate him
eg are not going to let prx get away with not banning their permaban map in haven
eg may not want to play it but they will certainly be happy to play it against prx considering they actually know how to play haven
there is simply no shot we are continuing to underrate ethan after literally 4 triple doubles against loud
the man put on a clinic and we still have to have this conversation? jesus christ...
considering theyve been permabanning haven the whole tournament? not likely tbh
not just this tournament, they've been doing it for a while, almost zero shot they change that for a grand final
more likely they take their chances on ascent
lowkey such a hard team to rank(outside of boostio bottom but he's igl so that's more than fine, and his sheriff is NASTY) they all have such insane impact
jawg's raze is insane, might be top 3 rn, and very capable of flexing smokes
demon1 similar story with jett, kid frags out so consistently
C0M(aka Commits 0 Mistakes) has an insane sova and great lurk impact
im being so fr when i say the dudes sova is unlike anything ive seen hes so good at it, every dart, drone, ult is so consistently connecting bro has the enemy on a 4k 80 inch screen all game its fucked
ill be thinking about his sova on that pearl game against fut for at least the next week
ethan literally triple doubled every single game against loud except bind LMAO who even does that
gotta be a top 3 initiator right now
anyway enough glazing com the team is nuts whether you like them or not
there's a decent chance they try it but imo it doesnt matter either way, eg are fundamentally better at both maps
first set of maps should leave the series at a 1-1 in any case(bind and asc/frac)
Ethan gotta be higher than 10th
probably fracture but eg should win whichever map regardless so it's probably immaterial
pearl will probably be a decider or prx map pick(lowkey i think eg are better at pearl though)
edit i gotta shut the fuck up sometime
is there a possibility that pANcada would be staying in the sentinel role and a player such as Flyuh(or a controller main/flex) coming in to directly fill Marved's role?
W thread
huge call
100%, at minimum loud and eg should have a clear edge over fnatic from map bans
what does a prx-fnc grand final look like?
as a guy that's been called a ch***(slur for chinese people for those unaware) probably more times than the person that made this tweet that's not the idea at all lmfao
if it was then sure you can have that conversation about it being racist but the tweet totally ignores the context of how new the chinese val scene is and the comparative level of said scene to the global stage
it's banter and for fun, but it's also literal - chinese teams, right now, are at a lower level than the rest of the world. nothing wrong with acknowledging that and trying to read into that and interpret in a way it's clearly not meant is just silly lmao
FWIW its somewhat different than claiming eu>na is racist since racism against chinese people is an actual thing and the idea is that it's "belittling the capability of chinese people"
100% agree this is an inevitability of any competitive scene
there literally have to be good teams and bad teams
also couldnt agree more with the navi point the margins between win and loss in those group stage matches were razor thin
the fact that the strength of teams are spread throughout regions is a good thing, not a bad one, and we need to stop pretending otherwise
plenty of esports scenes have seen the congregation of skill become limited to one region(league of legends) which is so much worse than what we have now
it creates a much more engaging worldwide scene, it brings in more money to help sustain the scene, and it brings better viewership which is all great for growing the game
me when i forget about drx
yeah drx are kinda balling but i still maintain that prx is still fundamentally a level above them right now
i'm so down to eat my words if they make a losers run but considering fnatic will be waiting for them if they lose to eg(which they should in theory, but i said that about them against loud) i dont have high hopes for it
and yeah if you group the americas together they're a two team region but imo there isnt a large gap rn between tier 1 na and tier 2 na teams(especially the top ones like m80, mxm), and i think the story is similar with sa in that regard
so the point of na and sa only having 5 spots therefore not being their own region is kind of ehhh in my mind especially since the guard will almost certainly fit right in with the rest of the teams in americas
yeah but it's as chronicle put it, that's true for every region
na - eg
sa - loud
pacific - prx
emea - fnatic
when competition is as fierce as it is that kind of thing becomes an inevitability and considering the alternative is the scene becomes dominated by one region only, which is so much worse, this is probably preferable atp
and tbh to say every other emea team sucks isn't all that true
fut looked pretty solid against eg despite the 2-0
navi performed quite well in their group and really just had a tough group to deal with that they BARELY dropped on all 4 maps they lost
giants probably overperformed expectations(at least mine)
and liqmid are unsurprisingly dogshit!
basically yeah emea is a one team region but a lot of people are overreacting(purely for banters sake which i respect) when it comes to the level of the other teams
and every other region is just like emea so meh this isn't unique, nor is it news
my brother in christ this is an either or question what are you saying yes to
EMEA are unquestionably a one team region but is that so bad? considering fnatic are still the best team in the world who really cares
but that was in losers finals - i'm talking about grands where one team makes the winner's bracket run, does that team get map advantage? in losers finals there isn't a team that went through winners lmao
If FNATIC makes it to Grands(or whoever in Losers) against a team that isn't LOUD(let's say Bilibili), do the map bans still go: BLG bans two, BLG pick, FNC pick, BLG pick, FNC pick, decider? Or, since FNATIC didn't directly lose to Bilibili(or more applicably, EG/PRX), do they get to ban one of the maps(leaving BLG ban, FNC ban, BLG pick, FNC pick, etc)?
wondering the same thing, is it just because LOUD are really weak on Fracture? strange call tbh esp since FNC's Bind seems more shaky than their Lotus
? split and bind were extremely close lol
granted, bind swings FNATIC's way in a rematch more often than not, but split is definitely winnable for EG and we still haven't seen the ascent(or the haven but FNATIC have the edge in that for sure)...
2/7 maps EG likely win(or at least have above 50% odds in), Split still a tossup(FNATIC edges clearly but the gap is small), bind has a small chance for eg tbh
if the two play in a BO3 the maps probably get picked/banned the exact same(maybe EG bans lotus instead of bind) lol and if EG can take that then playing Pearl, Fracture, Ascent AND Split in a grands match definitely favours EG
FNATIC clearly have a notable edge being the better Split team but you're definitely overstating this one mate
EG can 100% beat this team
they literally took a map off fnatic bro has the memory of a toaster
genuinely kind of surprised people are so mad about his toxicity lmao with storylines and energy like this shit gets WAY more interesting
with no villain it all just becomes much more boring tbh, this way the whole thing is much more approachable for the layperson imo and it's a lot easier to become invested
love him or hate him the kid talking makes this shit so much more fun to watch(he ghosted the everliving fuck out of pearl though lets bffr)
if the dude could do what he did to g2 on a regular basis mxm are probably in t1 NA on their own tbh
has the potential for it though
flyuh deserves to be in a franchised team immediately
brawk and aproto are at least borderline also
