Acend ez team to beat just ban cned
Yep that’s why they don’t do it, they aren’t interested in expanding to markets that won’t waste money on skins etc
Well it’s definitely a less profitable region for riot, that’s for sure, which is probably why they don’t do it.
It’s unfortunate though because you have “EMEA” which supposedly represents Africa except there’s not a single server in Africa
what about like south african servers tho
like if there's a player requirement, it would never be met unless they had a server, as long as there's no server no one's gonna play
July 1st but I’ve been here since April
People from the uk also do this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDUX8pxoDtk
Well I live in Bermuda now but people will just think I’m fake flagging lmao, and either way I don’t identify as a Bermudan
I was born in Luxembourg but I only lived there for 2.5 years before moving to the UK, where I lived for 4 years before moving to Canada, and then going to high school in the US…
So idfk what to put, I guess I’ll go with Luxembourg since I was born there but that’s why I liked international lmao
Wanna pick a flag but which one :(
That’s upsetting, OXG >>>>> BIG, Heretics
my edit was fixing an incorrect average stop making shit up
oh fuck i missed the "in lcq" part
Even better to just choose a Swedish-speaking player that can shoot tho (assuming they comm in Swedish)
did it change? bc on the website it doesn't list them https://smash.gg/tournament/red-bull-home-ground-1/details
I think it's more likely that NaVi and OXG were invited and declined than them sending a invitation straight to BIG, but who knows
nope, FPX is tho
the list: G2, Guild, Team Liquid, Vodafone GIANTS, Tenstar, Acend, Futbolist, Fnatic, Supermassive, Heretics, Anubis, FPX, Gambit, BIG and BDS
also it says "64 teams max first come first serve" yet there's 130+ teams registered LMAO
https://smash.gg/tournament/red-bull-home-ground-1/attendees/teams?page=1
idk if there'll be streams, most likely just some players streaming with delay
these are the notable teams that have registered:
teams not registered nor invited (it starts tomorrow so probably not playing):
I'm not sure about the internet situation, but I do know that they have less population than Luxembourg. So the fact that they can field a pro team at all, let alone beat some decent Indian teams is very impressive
not sure what language they comm in currently, but if it's swedish, I really do think changing that would really hurt the team
sheeeeeeeeeesh maldives! insane for a country with less people than luxembourg and yet even smaller % of them even play video games...
The LCQ won't be held, and we need to send a team...
GENG, LG and XSET can't go because they lost.
Rise was disqualified for having matchfixers and FaZe for breaking the new "no two players can have the same name" rule
Version1 won't be sent because they already had a chance at a LAN
100T was arrested for organized thievery in a surprise FBI sting, and Cloud 9 seems to have floated off to another continent somewhere idk
That leaves just the Australian teams, but unfortunately they were disqualified for not attending the event (how rude of them).
which means, Rito Games has announced that the only option is to automatically send TSM to champions as NA's 3rd rep. thoughts?
let's do some math. I'm gonna take the rankings of the top 5 teams from each region on a personal list, and average them, to rank the regions.
EMEA - 1, 4, 6, 8, 9 (avg: 5.6)
NA - 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 (avg: 8.0)
KR - 2, 17, 26, 28, 33 (avg: 21.2)
SEA - 18, 24, 31, 37, 38 (avg: 29.6)
JP - 22, 25, 29, 54, 56 (avg: 37.2)
BR - 30, 36, 41, 42, 49 (avg: 39.6)
LATAM - 21, 35, 43, 59, 62 (avg: 44.0)
best pickem gets 10 days free vlr premium
LETS GO LIQUID
but rip #bonkartoberlin :(((
for champions, you could do 3 days of swiss, and it'd look like this:
day 1 - the matches are determined by tournament seeding - at the end of this day, 8 teams are 0-1 and 8 are 1-0
day 2 - randomly, the 0-1 teams play other 0-1 teams, and the 1-0 teams similarly play each other - at the end of this day, 4 teams are 0-2, 8 teams are 1-1 and 4 teams are 2-0
day 3 - the 2-0 teams rest and the 0-2 teams go home. The 1-1 teams play each other, with the winners going to playoffs and losers going home
playoffs is then an 8-team bracket (can be either double or single elim) with the 2-0 teams getting seeds 1-4 and the 2-1 teams getting seeds 5-8.
u could also do 5 days of swiss for more accuracy, but knowing rito they'd prefer to spread 3 "days" of swiss into a week.
basically each team plays teams with similar win/loss records until the teams are sorted into a ranking
swiss formats are honestly goated idk why they're not used more
here's a swedish controller main https://www.vlr.gg/player/1147/supmah
c9 fans gonna hate me but it was based on stage 3 performance sorry
i'm on that c9 hopium too tho #c9win
issue with that is that someone has to choose the bracket, and how to do it fairly?
