1.4% (or to be exact, about 1388 in 100000 games, from simulations)

jett, viper, cypher, and 2 of [skye, sova, phoenix, breach].

explanation:
jett - obvious, best duelist in the game
viper - imo better than the other controllers on this map bc of her wall. She'll need lineups for orbs and postplant tho, and if you don't have/can't find those, Astra might be better.
cypher - should be the best sentinel here. With 4 site entrances and so many passages, the 2 trips are insane crossmap info gathering that KJ just can't replicate.
skye - just an all-around great agent atm, insane info gathering, fits on every map and I don't see why not here.
sova - with 4 ways to come on site his arrow is as useful as ever. I don't think this is his best map, but it doesn't need to be for him to still be extremely useful.
breach - his flashes are really good on this map, you can blind into the sites from quite far away, and the quakes and aftershocks are good too since there's lots of cheeky corners and verticality
phoenix - might seems like an odd choice given his current (lack of) place in the meta but imo he's the best 2nd duelist here. 4 ult orbs will keep arguably the best ult in the game online often and his wall is plenty long enough to cover most the passages and sites.

wait I just realized x10 completely trolled this match, they played 4 controllers lmao. I still don't think they're a top 3 SEA team though.

posted about 3 years ago

X10 is worse than both of them, hasn't been top 3 in SEA since Iceland

Looks fun

Fair enough ig, that makes sense

posted about 3 years ago

just Guild imo

posted about 3 years ago

i think given the current perception and general consensus, SEN beating Liquid would be a surprise and thus an upset for most people.

posted about 3 years ago

most likely upset is VKS vs CR , since no matter who wins it could be called an upset since we don't really know who's better. So 100% chance of upset. i kinda cheated here tho lol

americans don't get 50 ping on mumbai

wouldn't mind this one bit. SEN fans are cringe and so are the crazy SEN hate bandwagoners. Would be nice to have them both gone for a bit

this.

Though FS's performance in LCQ was very impressive, I still don't think they're anywhere close to NA/EMEA/VS level

LMAO first one I did and I got Group A: VS, NV, TL, FS

posted about 3 years ago

Exactly this, Sova has a 60% win rate in pro play on this map. That’s the highest win rate of any agent on any map except Sova on Icebox (66%)

posted about 3 years ago

hmm I wonder where they're going?

brief overview of process:

  1. downloaded all of VCT stage 3, LCQ and a select few other tournament from vlr (automatically ofc)
  2. used this data to calculate a base rating and uncertainty for each team using this software
  3. each simulation started by slightly randomizing the ratings based on each team's uncertainty
  4. simulations would play out the entire matches round by round, using the ratings to calculate the % that each team would win the round
  5. teams progressing from groups were placed randomly into playoffs so that group winners always played second place teams
  6. repeated 100000 times
posted about 3 years ago

I'd believe this except SEN isn't in berlin yet OMEGALUL

posted about 3 years ago

it's just saying that VK added a player since their last matches and the simulation doesn't account for it, it's up to you to decide if that makes their chance go up or not

I wrote a program to simulate champions 100000 times and these were the results:
https://ibb.co/ftpn6bs

The most likely winners were Gambit (33%), followed by Acend, Envy, Liquid and SEN all at around 14%. See the link for much more detailed data.

Notes about the simulation:

  • Vivo Keyd is likely underrated because none of their data was with Mwzera.
  • X10 is likely underrated because none of their data was with Patiphan.
  • Liquid might be underrated because some of their data is pre-Nivera.
  • "pts" and "diff" can be ignored, I originally designed this for football.

Interesting observations:

  • Gambit has a higher chance of winning their group than any other team does to even advance.
  • The simulation only gave VS a 2% chance to win. Personally I think it should be at least 10%. I think the program views VS poorly because it thinks they should've beaten the local Korean opposition by bigger margins (13-2s instead of 13-7s). But imo they just weren't tryharding those games because they knew they would win easily anyway. I guess we'll see who's right in a few weeks.
  • Crazy Raccoon is more likely to make it to semis than Fnatic is to win the event.
  • Team Secret has a 22% chance to advance while KRU only has 5%, yet they both have about the same chance to make the semis (0.5%).
